Yeah - I suppose. Dierker, the manager of the 'Stros called for all the intential passes himself. I would think a manager would have a little better taste than that. If, over the next three games, he is pitched around, and still manages to break the record, he will pick up a lot of new fans. Everyone likes the underdog.

Of course Dierker called for it. No one other than the manager makes the call to intentionally walk someone. And if a pitcher says he wants to intentionally walk someone he is the biggest pussy in baseball.

Who cares if they are Trailing by 20 you dont pitch to a guy who has the potential to score another run on you. That the name of the game, Stop the other team and score as much as you can. They should have walked him the entire time.

I'm just down right pissed cause like every year the Astros are blowing Major Donkey nuts when it counts

Virtually every player in the big leagues has the potential to score a run......... your baseball ethics needs some brushing up.

Everyone is so hung up on what a prick this guy is. That means nothing to me. I looked to my parents to be role models for me. Bonds is having, what is in my estimation, one of the top 5 greatest offensive seasons in the history of baseball. Regardless of what you think about him personally, anyone who thinks that he's not the greatest baseball player of our generation doesn't know too much about baseball.
