"Extreme" Cutting Diet. Opinions? Modifications?

This is basicly ' nclifter6feet6's' extreme beach cutting diet. I tried it a bit earlier, for a short time. About a week. The results were pretty good. I got my top 2 abs to show through nicely.

But I was forced to come off the diet due to going on a camping trip, and having parents not wanna put up with my "anorexic" eating during the trip.

So we got back and I didn't really feel like dieting again, until recently. School's just around the corner, and during the first week, or two, we have a planned excursion to some sports camp, and I'll be shirtless during the water activities. And I feel kinda awkward not having at least 4 visible abs.

I'm 160-165lbs, 5'10-11", and %12-%15 boyfat. Diet's gonna be:

8oz of Chicken Breat split into 2 servings of 4oz each.
Cals= 367, Fat=8g, Carb=0, Protein= 69g

4oz Veal Cutlet Steak Lean only.
Cals=206, Fat=5, Carb=0, Protein=37

Can of Tuna
Cals=107, fat=1, carb=0, protein=25

Totals Cals=679 Fat=14 Carbs=0 Protein=131

I'll probably have an apple, and a plum or two, to keep me going through the day, and I'll try to get in 30 minutes of Cardio 5 times a week.

Anyone have any opinions on this? Will I acheive at least another set of abs becoming visible? Probably gonna do this 2-3 weeks, depending how I feel. Any modifications? Anyone wanna call me stupid? :fro:
 
Modification..Get at least 150g of protein per day. The whole 1g/lbm doesnt work unless your lean mass is over 150. The brain needs a certain amount of glucose per day untill adaptions to ketosis are made (which take 2 weeks), if protein is kept under 150g the brain will draw upon lean muscle mass for its needed glucose and we dont want that now do we? :)

If you have access to Lyle's book read the section on protein levels, it goes into more detail than I have but regardless keep protein at 150g per day.

Oh and keep cardio low....walking long distances worked really well for me, you can always do sprints to jump-start the metabolism when the diet is over.

agreed, need at least 150g protein per day, at least for the 1st 3 weeks of the diet. On top of that, it would be unwise to go below 1200 calories a day, as the decrease in metabolic rate will be too great and you'll tend to lose too much muscle.
 
If the diet doesn't work, just hang out with a really fat kid. Also, why do you feel awkward? Most people have no abs visible, chicks do like abs, but it doesn't matter all that much. If you got a visible outline of something, it shows up better in the sun anyway. Good luck on the diet.:D :D

I was a real fat kid prior to last year. Until 7th grade, I was a fat ass. I started to diet, and then began lifting weights.

Everyone was like, "woah". I wasn't satisfied. Abs've always been my real goal, seeing as how every one of the other "popular, good looking" guys have abs... But they're all skinny fucktards, barely over 100lbs. The chicks dig this, while I sit back and think "what the fuck...?". I get attention from girls, but having those abs'll really be a big "fuck you" to all the other guys who constantly teased me for being fat, lol. ;)

Mak, PWB, where do you suggest I get the 20g more of protein? Tuna? (BLECH!!)

This'll be quick diet. I don't intend to keep going with something so strict for too long, so, to my understanding, i shouldn't lose as much muscle. Please, enlighten me if I'm wrong.
 
I feel you on the tuna...I've gone so far as to use the Tuna shake (acccccck).

Anyway, I'm assuming your using NC's 3rep sets workout?...Try adding in some no-carb whey protein with a tblspn of flax. The flax with aid in fat loss and the whey will give you the protein.

I'm doing the diet too right now (going for that super-defined but super small Bruce Lee look). I have similar stats except an inch shorter.

I'm not satisfied either. Never will be. Human nature, as no matter how big or ripped you get, it always seems you can do more.
Tuna sucks. Eat some egg whites for 20g. Grab 7 whites for 21g pro. Tatses good, filling too.
 
Dude 511 160 lbs and you want to loose more weight.You sound fuckin anorexic.I'm 511 180 lbs and I can see my top abbs I have no clue why you want to weigh less than 160?

These may be a little mis-leading. They were taken a little over a month ago, before i began "cutting" or whatever. I look a little more plump. But for the purpose of this thread, they should do well as to show why I wanna cut at 160lbs.


Oh, and don't laugh :o. I'm only 14, and I'm not flexing.. lol.. STOP LAUGHING AT ME! :bawling: Oh, and the farmer's tan.. lol, thing's just can't get any worse, huh?
 
Damm gangsta, you only 14? You ain't got much fat to lose. Work the hell outta your abs, work em like a regular muscle only more. You look lean enough, it should make a difference. And lucky you, chances are by the time you're 16 or 17 that little bit of fat you have will be gone.
 
I've just recently started work abs. I haven't worked them regularly in sooo long.

I work out at home, so I don't have any fancy machines to do ab excercises, so I figured my options were limited with just a bench.

I do 3 sets of crunches till failure, 3 sets of the ab-wheely thing till failure, and then I do something i read about on the board recently. A "sit-up leg raise" type thing. Where you bring yourknees to your chest as you sit up.. one set of this till failure..

lol, sucks, huh? Have any suggestions as to what I Can incorporate into a ab-routine?
 
weighted cruches
weighted incline crunches
frog kicks - hang from a pull-up bar but pull your knees up to your chest. Do not swing, just use your abs to "lift" your knees.

Just some ideas for ya.

I don't have access to a pull up bar. I work at home :(
 
I re-read your post after I posted that..its the same thing as the sit-up leg raise so if you do those, it would have the same effect.
 
im back on the quick fix approach, but this time i will train slightly different. i will hit each muscle once a week with a big variation of reps 3-8 reps or so and doing about 10 sets per muscle once a week. my diet will be about 1.5 -2 heads of cabbage a day ( AND YES THATS A SHITLOAD OF CABBAGE) and 230-240 grams of protien from very lean meats and a multivitamin, oh and lots of water

Leg raise, lay on your back, lift your legs about 6 - 8 inches, hold for 5, repeat.
Reverse Crunch, lay on your back like you're gonna crunch, but keep your shoulders grounded and bring your legs up.
Do those, they rock the house.

This is a bad idea, why dont you get on some sort of lean mass program. You dont have any muscles. Put on 10-15lbs in the next year and cut for the summer. Or put on weight without getting too fat.
 
vitor is right you dont have much muscle at all, if you do this diet youll just look worse than a skinny crackhead
 
Thinking about it, I have to agree with V and NC. Drop the diet. Just try to build up your abs more. I might have suggested this already. Also, you're 14, right? You're not gonna have great abs at that age unless your genetics say so. Good luck on whatever you choose.
 
damn i forgot he was 14.... WOW this is your PRIME TIME to grow!! dont worry about gettin lean man this is your time to grow!. your natural testosterone is the HIGHEST right now man. i wish i was 14 again. i started lifting weights at about 15 and put most of my mass on in a span of 2 years. just slam the protien carbs and fats and train man. bulk for a good 3 years become a monster. eat as much as you can and then some. diet a few months before you hit the clubs, and be ripped and big at 18 and get all the big booty hoes bro.
 
About the skinny crackhead thing, the chicks love the muscle-less guys with abs. Well, around here, anyway. Yeah, I know that's fucked up.

Normally, I'd listen to you guys and drop the diet, since I know how smart you all are. But this is only a temporary thing, you know? I just want to show that I CAN have abs. Girls around here go into a tizzy if you've got abs. Whether or not you look like a skinny crackhead.

I was planning to bulk right after I got back from the trip, since after the trip, I wouldn't have to be seen with my shirt off for a few months, and being flabby would be fine. But just for this trip, I wanna have abs.

That sound fine to ya'll?
 
dude im in very similar situation to you.i lost a lot of fat over this year,and now im this skinny guy with no muscle.thats really weird for me , because i used to be a big strong fat kid,and now at 16 im 6 three and thin.i just wannt a general athletic body,i dont care too much about bulking up.now im slowly forming a normal diet,which is bassicly high carbs medium protein and low fat.i think if i just eat well,do light weights and ride my bike alot i will maintain and actually build my shape. i hope.

If you're only runnin' the diet for a few weeks it's okay, but I agree with some of the stuff NC dropped on you. Eat, Train, Eat. Then once you're 17 or 18 worry about the diet. Just grow.
 
oh yah sorry,i didnt mean that you dont have muscle.you actually have a descent build,mine is weird.about the eating thing i dont know,eating quality is important right?
 
Do yall think 7 days a week of am 45 mins of cardio on an empty stomach, 4 days of weight trainng , 50p 30f 20c diet training split would be good for an endomorph thats about 5 '11 180 pounds , 22 years old, and about 20% bodyfat would be rly good for cutting ? Also I want to maintain my strength or if possible get stronger while getting leaner.... If anyone has any suggestions on a better diet could you please explain to me what it is and why it would be better ? As well as better training splits or just anything you see wrong.
