explosive pushups for chest pass

i started doing explosive pushups so i come off the ground(depth pushups). i played ball today at a local college and my chest pass felt stronger. im guessing from the pushups!
 
Well, probably. The motion is generally the same, and the explosive force involved... yeah, it makes sense. I doubt it's from bicep curls, dude.
 
They're probably helping. Being partial to powerlifting movements...speed benches with chains would work too. However, you can do pushups without going to the gym.

Just remember...you only get the assist if your teammate is able to handle the pass and make the shot.
 
It's plyometric, very useful for increasing bench strnegth as well.

now get someone to drop you from 6 feet and land in the same position - when you can sustain that you can bench 500lbs :)

ya i know, but i need hard passes for fast breaks since i run point i have to zip the ball down the court.

Just make sure your teammates are ready to recieve your passes. I can remember playing with different guys and them not ready to recieve the bullet passes. Get them ready. Nothing better than giving or recieving a crisp pass. Keep it up.

I would personally like to generate enough force from my pushups to hurl my body on the roof of a 3 story building. Then I think my bench will go up tremendiously. :)
