Tommorow morning at 10am I am attempting to enter the 4 plate club... I will try (im gonna do it) to benchpress 405lbs. I set the goal when I was 19 that I would reach the 405 mark before I turned 21. Well I don't turn 21 for another 6 months and I feel like im ready for it. THE STEEL BEAST if any of you remember him, is coming down to my gym to spot me. Im getting ready to hit the sack cuz I need all the rest I can get. EVERYONE WISH ME LUCK !! I'll read this thread in the morning before I head out to the gym.....
 
oh btw.. is 25mgs of dbol too much to pop at once? i was considering doing this 1 hour before hitting the gym..
 
don't think 25mg of dbal is gonna give u the extra strength kick u so desire..i'd rather put my money on some eca and mebbe some powerdrive or a stronger neurotransmitter
 
running behind.. i am leaving as we speak.. im either gonna come back mad as hell or happy as hell. :) hopefully the 2nd one!
 
Hey Spunky....what does your cycle look like? Just curious as to what kind of gear you are using & what dosages you are hitting to get that kind of power.
 
GRRR!! I didn't get it guys... I got it halfway up and couldn't lock it out... 395 was the best I could do.... :( maybe in a few more weeks..
 
Don't worry bro, you'll get it-I have bad news for you though, as soon as you hit 405-you'll want 495, as soon as you hit that, you'll want 515-that's where I'm stuck, I can't get past 495 fucking pounds, oh well, at least I'm jacked!!
 
i did 135 x 10
225 x 6
315 x 3
365 x 2
then attempted 405

this is what was recommended to me by someone at the gym.. i may have went about it all wrong.... i dunno. i will get it within the next month tho, i can guarantee u that.
 
I don't know, you did 21 reps before you even tried the 405.
I might've tried 135 a few times to loosen up, hit 225 a couple
times, 315 once, and then tried it...I think those few extra reps
may have cost you that 1/2 rep. Good luck next time, maybe next
chest day you can hit it.

Hey bro I just got 405 for the first time the other day. I was stuck at 385 for like three weeks. I never did 390 395 or 400 I just went for the four plates every time after pulling the 35's One day it just went, you just have a day when it feels good and you'll get it if you are that close. Here is what I lifted on the days when I tried. I am not recommending it, It is just what my body was used to so I stayed with it. If you have been doing the reps you stated just keep doing it and you'll eventually get it, it also helps to give you a consistant measure of how close you are. Anyway here is what I do:

45lbs x 10 just the bar
135 x 10
225 x 6
275 x 3
315 x 2
345 x 1
365 x1
385 x 1
.........
405 x1 and did it feel good when it finally went!
...... finish my workout now
315 x 6
275 x 6 pausing each rep on my chest
225 x 6 10 seconds to take each one down

........ then move on to incline and decline



Now you see why I don't recommend my workout I probably wear my self out before I get there but I finally got there so fuck it. That was the way I felt comfortable getting there and getting my self ready for the heavy lift. I also always take the bar off myself which is probably costing me a little bit but once again I am the one pushing 405 :D

Anyway good luck you will get there just stay focused and lift hard and let us know how it goes.

by the way I am 5'7'' and about 188lbs so if my shrimpy ass can do it you can too!

Not a flame bro, but you don't necessarily need gear to get that kind of power. 405 may be quite possible for you to do naturally if you work at it hard enough. Peace.
