Everyone over 40 check in please!

I'm 75. Been working out about 20 years off and on. In pretty good shape, have no health problems except underactive thyroid. Been using AAS for several years. Active in my construction company every day with no intent of retiring in the near future, enjoying the work too much.l Take on a daily basis, about 30 health supplements. My last blood tests, several weeks ago, indicated no problems. I believe in: getting proper rest, getting proper exercise, staying active and continuing to learn, and having a happy home life. (married to same person for 48 years. 8 children, 8 grandchildren).

I do use hearing aids and eye glasses. So for all you young guys, life can be very good at 75 and older.

Been lifting about 2 years and really enjoy it.

I'm under the care of an anti-aging Doc and my blood test numbers are terrific. He is raising my testo and free testo while reducing my esto.

I've taken a few orals over my life and steroids work. You can raise your testo sky high and not get the same bodybuilder monster look of a butt cheek full of deca. However ... the look does not last, you go into a recover stage with low testo production, and you can trigger cancer. The stuff I'm taking now is "bio-identical" and has none of these side effects.

Right now I'm sticking with prescribed testo, eating high protein/low fast sugar/high veggies, and using a Steve Reeves Classic routine.

Thighs: 25
6' and 205

I want thighs up to 26 and a little more fat off.

I have sex every day! Chicks in their 20's want me to be their Dirty Uncle. Ha Ha!!

Hi. 42 here. Been trying most of my adult life to get in shape. Found out my test is low. On HRT, getting better results now than ever before. Getting stronger, just need to lose the fat.
 
Just turned 45 yesterday and I can't lose wt. to save my life. I've been trainning 25 years and have notice a ton of changes over the last 5 years and I hate it. I will not grow old gracefully. I refuse!!!

Rest In Peace StrongSmart&Sexy. Closer to 41 than 40 here. I'll never stop training, but I need to take the time to learn more.
 
Just turned 56 10 days ago. Got back into working out 2 yrs ago. Did my 1st steroid cucle first of this year. Unreal the drastic change it has made to my life. Lot more energy, much stronger workouts, and sex life back to what it was in my 20's. Getting ready to start 2nd cycle in a few weeks. Staying on test year round because of extremely low test blood results.

Can you give us a summary of your cycle, diet and workout?

Any other advice for the over 40's?

We have all learned a lot and some of it the hard way.
 
I'm pushing 43.....is it a bad sign that I just had to ask my nephew how old I was? I lifted hard from age 13 to about 25 and was a very slender 125# at 6' tall - about 6% bf. I was ripped. Got married, got fat (for me at 205#) and started lifting again, so I could keep up with my fly fishing habit.
At 205#, I was slender with a beer gut and out of shape. Since then I dropped to 185# at about 13% bf and have started my way to a lean 250#. Right now, I'm at 240# and 18% bf and on a bulk up/strength cycle. I'm doing Madcow's 5X5 and it's incredible for size/strength.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it............

Were some things easier when I was 25, hell yes, but I wouldn't change a thing now. I've got a great wife, a great job and I get to fish nearly any time I want to. I just doesn't get any better than this......where's that Swedish bikini team, any way?

This is my first time on this board as well as my first message -

I'm 46 (47 in September)
Started working out when I was 38 (to gain weight) I went from 135lbs to my current 165lbs. and I'm definately not complaining. I currently look younger, better, and feel more confident then ever.

I know your gonna say 165 isn't big -but from where I came from I'm excited!!!! .. I'd love to get LEANER, HARDER, BIGGER!!! Thats will always be my goal! I just LOVE working out - totally addicted to it, and can't get enough.

Well hopefully I'll find and talk to you guys soon.

DAMN I didn't mean to RAMBLE ON - but oh well - ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My 1st cycle was wks 1-10 500mg test 250 mg deca, wks 1-4 30 d-bol day, nolva and clomid for pct. 3200 calories day. 50%pro, 30%carbs, 20% fat. Worked out 4 days wk, cardio 2 or 3 times wk. Had real good gains, about 15 lbs mostly muscle % body fat stayed about same as all I had was some in midsection. At 15% fat end of cycle. About week after cycle started feeling sluggish found out test dropped to low even with taking other supplements to try keep up. Went to 200mg test wk to maintain good levels and told will be from now on. Fixing to start 2nd cycle with Wk 1-10 750 test, 400 EQ 40 d-dbol day wk 1-4, nolva for gyno if needed, .25 arimedex EOD wk 1-16. 500 iu HCG every 5 days. Won't need PCT since go back to 200mg test wk. Also w/o 3 days week off cycle little lighter weights cardio 3 times wk.

Forgot in the middle of ECA satck dowm from 15 to 13% bodyfat. Lost 10 lbs to 185 but only dropped measurement is at waist.
 
Just turned 54.Been lifting hard and steady for about 20 years or so.Planning on lifting until they pry my cold fingers from the barbells.

48YRS Still cooking been lifting for over 32yrs.I have all the aching joints to prove it. Once agian all you young guys be careful with the heavy weight and maxing all the time you will pay when you get older,I'M LIVING PROOF
hey guys, i'm not fourty (0nly 16), just wanted to let you guys no that, from all these posts, you guys have successfully made me very paranoid of the squat rack :mad:

anyway love the thread cuz it gives me an idea of what ill feel like when I get older :worried:

Will be 39 this September and feeling good. Besides having my personal life in order (career, family, etc.) again concentrating on my body and eating habits with have changed a lot from my earlier days.

I will start HRT this week and will keep a log. Right now I stand at 180pd, about 10% bf lifting since I can remember (days of columbu, platz, zane, tinerino, etc)

Glad to be here learning from other and hopefully I will be able to share some of my experiences.

Guess i'll bump this-after 10 days I must be the only newbie thats also a dinosaur. I turn 46 in Nov & like temetrepo I remember Zane, Coe, Samir Bannout, Casey Viator & all the greats from the 70's & 80's. Yes & of course, Arnold.
I'm lifting again after a 4yr layoff that I devoted to martial arts & i'm fired up about hitting the iron again!
 
turning 51 in october..

been working out since 1979 without any layoffs...
started cycling aas in 1998 and have taken my physique from 150 lbs @ 15% BF to 210 lbs and 9% BF - but coming off the cycles was real tough on my body-so I made the (controversial) choice to stay on year round at very low/moderate levels and my body looks bigger and better than ever.
low doses of deca/test and anavar with no bad sides-as of yet.

As our folks always told us--- everything in moderation!

would love to know if any other guys like me are still lifting seriously and still in the Gear Game....
 
Hi I am 47 and just checking in as this is my first time here. I am 5'11" 200lbs 10% body fat. Currently have been doing 300 test 300 Deca a week for about 2 years now. l also 1.5 ius of GH m-f. This seems to work well for me as I have blood tests every 6 months and everything has been fine. Also use Nolvadex 20mg every other day. Thanks
 
New guy here. Just turned 50. Been lifting 20 yrs mostly to stay competitive in slo-pitch softball and rec league basketball. I'm 6'1", 220, don't know my BF%, but wear size 36 waist. Researching for a bulking cycle. Blood tests were good and I'm ready to roll. Only prior exp. was deca last year for about six ignorant weeks. Didn't have a clue. Any ideas for an old dog ?

Im currently taking 100mgdeca/50mg test once a week.Ive been on a shifting down phase now for the past couple months.(Had been taking 200-300deca/125test per week)I also take 20-50mg anavar daily.These amounts arent gonna add lots of muscle but itll retain what I got an enhance my current amount slowly over time.Im past the point of needing to add 20 lbs of muscle in 8 weeks.

I havent had a problem with deca dick BUT I did experience serious Test Dick which is why I have now cut down to the smallest amounts of test I can stack with the deca. I took Test by itself for a few years and one day in year 3 suddenly realized I hadnt thought about sex in days/weeks(??)and had a tough time holding a hardon.I stopped the test and started on the deca ,only adding test back in conservatively after a year.The amounts Im doing now are meant to let me grow very slowly but consistently and the libido is good (not great, but good-cmon, I AM 51 as of Saturday)and when in doubt I pop a piece of a cialis.If the deca begins to work against me I'll find another stack to use for a time.
 
Age is just a number. I compete with softballers half my age, but honestly, I don't want to just compete, I want to dominate! Researching my 2nd cycle- 400 deca,400 test e, for 8 wks/ 20 mg d'bol ed for 5 wks. I'd like to include some homebrew fina, maybe weeks 9-12 with D'bol? Please advise, anybody?
 
Hi All, I recently turned 45. I am currently at the end of a 3 month rest from body building. I plan on returning the 1st of October. Normally, I am a skinny guy with very low body fat. The time off from the gym has done wonders to rest and heal. I believe that taking a time off every 1-2 years is important. I have kept up my cardio but no weights. My weight dropped from 195 lbs to 170 lbs! (I am 5' 9" and some change...) Still have a six pac and dropped a lot of water weight so my definition has increased. My joints feel renewed and I am ready to end my time off.
 
67 and lifting 5 days a week, although I didn't start till my early 40's. Still doing bodybuilding (NPC), Southern States and NPC National Masters in Pitt. Not many quality competitions for us old clowns.
 
46 this past August. Just started working out again this past Feb after 18 year layoff. Also, started 1g ED 10% Test transdermal 4 weeks ago. Feeling more energy and strength.

Started lifting at 44 after meeting some of the Westside boys while at Ohio State. 188 lb @ 27% BF when I started, last night was 224 lb @ 14% BF (5'-10" tall). Follow Westside methods primarily, eat 3,500-4,000 cals a day with a couple of fina cycles thrown in now and then just to keep things interesting. Honestly, I feel better now than when I was 25. The great thing about lifting when you're older is that when you wake up with some aches and pains, you can never tell if it's old age or just from going extra heavy on the box squats the night before. 50??? Bring it on man!!

Nice to meet you all, I'm 41, so I reckon I fit in this group. So far the only 2 things that have really changed from my later 20's and into my 30's is my ability to sprint (softball) and I don't sleep as well. But other than that, not much seems to bother me. Again, I haven't lifted today, so that may change!

51 here. been working out for 12 seriously for the 2 1/2. Started taking HGH to see if it helps, Not sure but it seems to cutting body fat. Works outs are better not stronger but more endurance. Also taking weekly 200mg of Test E. only 2 weeks into test 3 weeks into HGH.
 
Newby here! 43 and feeling great. Look forward to the gym time. Gets rid of the daily stress. Not at all bad to have a 28 yr old blonde challenge me to raquet ball. Oh my, hope I can hang in there.......
 
Hello to all, I,m 42. working out since 18 on and off, just started hittin the weights again, taking whey protien,cell tech creatine, bsn explode. slow progress, but some noticable gains. Would like to try AS but the mail order thing seems risky. It's discouraging to see these guy's pushing these supps, when there obviously on somthing stronger.
