Do NOT buy any gear from any farmacias. They are not only virtually guaranteed to be fakes, but you will be overcharged for them. Only buy gear from the graneros. You can, however, buy your ancillaries from the farmacias.

Paying a taxi driver to drive you to the nearest granero, which is 15 minutes walking distance from the border, seems unnecessary.

I don't take the risk anymore due to what happened to my friend a few months ago. I'm sure you all recall. I don't encourage anyone to go, but I will relay info for those that will. Graneros are vet pharms. That's where I said to go. Look to the Sky....

Yes definately be careful.. and CREATIVE. The more creative, the better. And always remember, its much easier to cross with a personal amount than a large amount. If you must take a large amount, as I have, making a few small trips can be effective.

How long ago did u visit? did u go to a pharmacy or a vetrinarian? How did u make it across the border safely? any other details would be appriciated.

I've been there more times than I like to admit. If you know where to go, the gear is legit. Stick to vet pharmacies on Revolution. If you're hungry there's a subway and Dominoes across the street...

Makevelli is absolutely right, there is a bad ass one that has everything under the sun, legit products with good prices as well. I wouldn't have posted it publicly on the forum, so I don't think that was a good idea mak but you are right none the less. I hope the one I like doesn't go under now, more traffic flow=mexican police involvement=customs=I get fucked next time I go.

If you have to ask this question, then you have no right going south of the border...


Some of the vets who have gone this route can tell you some very scary stories of being a "virgin in Mexico" I will let them chime in on this one.

I agree with TheRide on this one.. If you must ask what a granero is, you haven't done enough research on the subject. Sure theres a first time for everything, and I'm not one of the guys that says STAY AWAY FROM MEXICO, YOUR A NEWBIE YOU DONT KNOW WHAT THE FUCK YOU'RE DOING.. YOU'LL GET KIDNAPPED AND ASS RAPED!!" Everyone thats been there got the Mexico cherry popped sometime, but first you should read every post on the subject and investigate all potential issues. And have a plan. then have a plan B. then plan C. You'll learn the ropes, and its a relatively safe endeavor if you do your homework. But if you dont know what a granero is, you haven't done any homework yet.
