Today is the first day of heavy and hard event training for a while.. and a good start it was :)

Log Press

185 x 5
235 x 3

I was fried from the olympic work on Thurs., so I stopped here.

Super Yoke

375 x 50 ft
550 x 50 ft
700 x 50 ft PR!!! no drops
800 x 14 ft HYOOGE PR!! - one drop

Farmer's Walk

235 x 80 feet, 1 turn, no drops PR!!!!

I don't think I've ever gone 80' with 235, let alone with a turn.

Also did some random stone loads, nothing much though.. but put the 175 to six feet again :)

My back and legs are fried.... time for a nap :)

I was pumped by the 700 run... and Ryan took 800 for 50... I couldn't be left behind by too much ;)

WoW... I need to start taking runs with 800+...but there isn't a yoke at Boston. I really like theirs at Boston. Actually...maybe it is just mine that I don't like...lol.

Super job man...seriously. I don't think that most people have any clue what it is like to do 800 on a Super Yoke...much less at a body weight of 200 pounds.

Thanks Clint.

After today... Im almost certain I'm doing Willie's meet... I think I need the challegene if I'm going to keep improving.

I can't think of a much better way to mentally prepare for Boston.

Competing in December would be the LAST thing that I would do in preparation for Boston or any contest in December. That is just me though. Two HEAVY contests back to back like that would mean lots of sore joints for me, as well as mental burn out.

I don't see much of a problem for me personally. I just need something to focus on and I am generally fine, but if the deadline for Willie's meet is close and I am not certain... I will not do it.

solid yoke run, damn 700 for 50' is impressive. Farmer walk is solid too, I think the best I ever did was 235 for 100 with like 5 drops, lol

That farmer's walk is impressive... after 1-2 drops my hands have nothing left...
