Hey, it seems like everyone and their mother is on CKD, wheter it's to cut, maintain or bulk........I can't stomach (lol) anymore posts.......I'm kidding, but geez, does anyone bulk the ol' fashion way with a heafty amount of carbs, protein and a decent amount of fat?????? Life's too short to shy away from foods you enjoy (unless its your profession...) Boy, I should practice what I preach, huh? I'm gonna start soon.......anyone else? Breads, pastas, 100% all natural of course........but still.......anyone else?

20%? You must have went balls out on the food, bro.......it's all good...you'll cut down and be an animal, I'm sure...what's your diet look like now?

well, a genuine 20% (not what some fatasses call 20%, I had a flat{ish} stomach and a few veins). I have a huge frame so it is not too hard to be that weight, I got 9.5 inch wrists and size 17us feet and stuff.

My diet now is the Mr.X ckd one and am finding it excellent, I am eating a ton of bacon, eggs, red meat, some cheeses, a ton of roast chicken thighs (so yummy and 4 of em=60g protein and 40g fat), snack occasionally on string cheese and almonds, I have been on it nearlly 2 weeks now and not cheated once, which is a major achievement for me. Oh yea I eat some oils as well, cos on some days I have to eat more than 300g fat which is hard to do from just solid food, I eat a good amount of fish as well, salmon mackrel and herring being my favourites. I don't use whey powder on it, so cooking so much is the only annoying bit of the diet to me.

Carb up day I use dextrose and white bread in the morning and move onto whole wheat pasta and oatmeal in the evening.

yow......that's exactly why I could NEVER rum the CKD diet......wayy to much greese and fat......it may work, but with my wife working in the cath lab, trust me, you don't want to be there.....hey, to each his own bro.......I stick with the veggies, oats, pastas, and protein by the ton......

I think the CKD can be enjoyed a lot if done properly. For example, if you were to do a variation of the CKD - anabolic diet, you could eat the steak , eggs , cheese M-F and on Sat and Sunday have the cookies, ice cream, cake and pizza. Overall, it would be the perfect diet, you get to eat all the food you want and lose bodyfat.

Mr.X - never knew that....could you give me an idea (maybe a day's example) of the diet you speak of...much thanks...

The anabolic diet:

Day 1-5:
same as you think of CKD
i.e. steak, cheese eggs - basically high fat low/no carb

Day 6-7:
your favorite foods, more of a combination of cheat days then anything: pizza, hamburgers, cheesecake etc...

Why wouldn't it be the perfect diet when you get to eat everything you want on it ? :)

Mr.X

Mr.X, would that work at relatively low bf%? I'm at 9.something%, trying to get down to 7, and, of course, it's hard, blah blah blah. I'm doing low-carb (although I don't skimp on the dex and malto post-workout), and with r-ALA, often dip into ketosis. I can chart my fat loss over, say, three weeks, but any smaller time period, and it becomes negligible (although I'm slowly adding bits of muscle at the same time - yay!) Would the 5-keto/2-carb diet work, or is basically for higher-bf%?
