Energy

Oatmeal is great I used to eat it all the time. I'll start again soon. I'll have to try sweet potatoes.
 
Bear the end of work before I take n2kts right before I drive to gym I either take all 3 or 2/3

Greek yogurt
Handful raw almonds
Banana

Kinda off topic but gives me great fuel an doesn't make me to full befre I hit the gym.

Carbs I do yams, brown rice, steel cut oats or hand rolled with a little stevia or brown sugar.

Legumes were mentioned above but i swear by peanut butter.
By the spoonful.
In my protein shakes.
On my morning toast.
Even in scrambled eggs.
Etc...
 
A banana (best carb fruit) if you want to workout right now. Nuke it and then mash it to bring out the glucose in it. Add some honey for even more glucose. Chug it in a protein shake or alone. It will act fast. What everyone else says if you have a couple of hours before gym-time.
