energy levels

Had one of those nights at the gym yesterday, ya know the one were you get home after a hard day and don't feel like going but you know you must. so after great debate, you go and find you still haven't got the energy for a PR type workout. well, i decided to try and walk on the tread mil to help me get motivated. it seemed to work for me. it got me active and boosted my energy level. what do some of you guys do when you have one of those days?
 
I start off slow, but once im in there...my levels seem to pick up.

I dont set my heights very high on those days.....but i get a good feeling when i do well (i seem to progress well on these days)

If it is a really low day i will do just a plain bodybuilding type workout
 
If I'm feeling tired and unmotivated but I've made it to the gym anyway, I pick moves that I "like" to do versus what I "have" to do.
 
I hardly ever use ephedrine, but I will if I'm feeling like crap. Other than that, I try to think of things that really piss me off or my competition training and getting ahead of me. A good training partner is a good thing to have on these days to kick you into gear.
 
i just get angry at anything or anybody - but only in my head i dont walk around growling or anything though. You'd be surprised how quickly you can hype yo'self up if you concentrate
 
A cup of coffee,with a ephedrine/caffeine supplement does wonders, or just a cup of coffee. Also some good heavy music with some shit talking always helps.
 
if i get this job at ups this week i will be using the epedrine/ caffeine and coffee combo every friday. usually i can muster enough energy to get through most anyworkout , having good training partners is a tremendous help with your motivation
