I am going to be buying an elliptical machine for myself and my girlfriend and figured you people here must own at least a few different models between all of you here. I do not really want to spen over 1000 dollars and am considering either nordic track of pro form. but anything else i am open minded too. could you please post you results with some you have used. i am really leaning towards the nordic track because it has power resistance and incline though

With just $500 you can buy a 300lb olympic weight set, a squat rack, and an adjustable bench. Do that instead, you'll be better off.

elliptical's rule, i do not own one but love using it at one of the gyms i go to. GOOD LUCK finding a nice one bro.

i agree with the 300lb weight set, rack, and bench....you'll get much better results, AND save some money.

I don't think you'll find one worth much of anything for less under $1000. I would like one as well for cardio, but most I see are 2-3K. They are outrageous. Even used ones were over 1k.

Treadmills are the same way. Way over-priced......

It's easier to find a good stationary bike or treadmill in the paper for under $1000. The elliptical machines are still too new to be cheap. You should also try Play it Again sports if you have em in your area.
