elbow position when benching

I've read on here that doing a BB bench (shoulders 90 degrees out to isolate the pecs) is bad for the shoulders if you plan on lifting any amount of weight. That I should keep my elbows in.

Although my new club don't seem to think it matters, a lot of them have had rotator cuff problems, so I suspect you guys on here are right.

Correct? I am perfectly happy benching with elbows in and it makes little difference to how much I can lift right now anyway.

In addition to reducing risk of injury, you'll get more out of your triceps -- and eventually have a bigger bench because of it.
