EGGS: Whole or jus+t white

New member
Hi Guys, Apologies but this may have been answered lots of times in the past but I do not have definitive answer on it, I have read mostly that it is better to only eat egg whites but somewhere I read that the whole egg was as good if not better, please advise?

nope Hole eggs bud, not all at once but throughout the day along with chicken, and my last meal is all hole eggs 6 of them and veggies with some cottage cheese .:RADAR:RADAR:RADAR

20 whole eggs every day.

Now that's something I've not heard of ever on a bodybuilding board.

Now veggies and chicken along with them it's probably not worse than eating a pizza or whatever instead, but I'm going to go out on a diet board mod limb and say that is a cholesterol hazard.

I know egg yolks are high in vitamins and minerals but I'm just wondering why you wolf 20 egg yolks daily.

In a way I know that it's bad for you but it is so novel and shocking I also would like to hear why you thought as a bodybuilder this was a good idea, and if it works for you.

Also, I don't and have never done steroids, but as a person who eats 20 egg yolks/day I wonder if you get your blood tested and how it comes out? You have subjected yourself to a pretty cool experiment if your counts come out normal!

at first i used to separate the yolks and just have like 2 hole egg with 5 egg withes but then i read a couple of articles that said that even though they have cholesterol they also have other stuff that wont let the cholesterol raise on you, besides dosen't seem to you like a lot of waste throwing away so many yolks? (i don't have access to just egg withes).
i will have my blood tested a couple of months after i'm done with my cycle witch it'll end in a couple of weeks.

ahhhhhhhh
yeah, yes it's wasteful but.
let us know the results will you? If you eat 15-20 egg yolks daily and you are OK cholesterol wise I would love to hear it. I love with with the yolks and while I would never eat as many as you, I would love to mix a couple in with breakfast every morning.

Seriously, let us know how it goes! Thanks man!

you will get mixed reviews. there is speculation that all the cholesterol is verry bad. there is also speculation that the yolk has bad cholesterol reducing qualities that will keep the levels stable.

i used to eat a couple dozen whole eggs daily along with a couple pounds of beef, bison, and a gallon of whole milk. i was a big son of a bitch pushing 280lbs at 5'5''. then i nearly died of heart complications.

i follow a different rule now. no yolks, no milk over 1% and no more that 10oz of beef in a day. im still pretty big and no longer in fear of dying any time soon. and i no longer need blood thinners/bp meds.

of course the drugs and amounts i was taking also had a huge role in these problems. i no longer run them either.

whole eggs FTW

the only two times I would see taking out the yokles as useful are either when your having them post workout or if your doing a contes prep diet as a bodybuilder...

Re: EGGS: Whole or just white

sure no prob, i'll let you know when i get my blood test.

The reason I posed the question in the fisrt place was cause I was conerned about the cholesterol, I would rather eat them whole as not to have any waste but would stick to whites if it caused an issue with cholesterol etc. I have read in other places that the yolk is good for you, but t the moment will stick to mainly whites until any one can prove that the yolks are defo not bad for you.

good luck finding out whats good and bad for you.. one dr. says eat the whole egg, another says just the whites. one nutritionist says eggs are fine another says only eat egg whites.

Wanting to get a decent shape not interested in going massive have been quite big in the past. I weigh approx 85kg want to loose fat and put on some lean muscle, looking to get a harder look.

I train 4 times a week and have started MMA twice a week to get in the cardio.

I will also be taking a stack of Test E, with primo and priviron.

Thanks for the replies.

all the best to you reaching your training/sporting goals. its just my opinion, and i guess i'm just a bit old school/different from the rest, but why the drugs?

At a sticking point, need that push to get the body I want.

so the push to get to the next level means taking drugs. ok, so when you stall out at that next level, will you take even more drugs?
look what all the drug taking did to arnold and his training partners from his era.
try to find jeff eversons planet muscle magazine from a few years ago. (about 6 years ago) great great article, basically written by a top doctor that said you'll win a trophy today, but 25 years down the road, you'll have major major health issuse. then he went on and listed all the dudes arnold trained with. some gone, others with major problems, others with strokes. just a great eye opening artilce on the dangers of steroids, taken in small or large doses.
try to find the article. maybe you'll have an extra sandwich, or get an extra half hour rest instead of going the drug route.

Your going to need a parachute to get off that high horse.

I say the egg white olny thing is crap!!!! Dont get me wrong i do not eat 15-20 eggs a day, that could be a little overboard. But I'm good for about 4-6 a day and i eat the whole egg. The yolk has tons of essential vitams an nutrients in it. My cholestral is very low even considering in the past I used to ba a fast food junkie. IMO eat the whole egg!!!

If your health permits, it is preferable to eat whole eggs for muscle building purposes. You not only lose a lot of the protein by discarding the yolks, but may be forfeiting some of the anabolic effect of eggs by only eating the whites.

There is some evidence that cholesterol, which is concentrated almost entirely in the yolk, supports strength and muscle hypertrophy gains.

The fat and cholesterol in the yolk thickens the bile in the liver though, which wouldn't be a good thing for you if you have any liver or gall bladder issues. Also, if you have high triglycerides the yolks will jack that up even more. In combination with certain more androgenic AAS, the yolks might be a real problem for you.

Bottom line is, don't be a dumbass. Just because the other guy can eat 20 whole eggs a day doesn't mean you should. If you have a family history of heart disease, think twice about the whole eggs. If you're running an androgenic cycle and you have a family history of heart disease, maybe you shouldn't be eating whole eggs, huh?

Everyone should get their CBC and lipid breakdown done once monthly at a walk-in lab if you're on cycle. Watch those AST, ALT, bilirubin and lipid counts.

I always mix it as 1 whole egg to a 1/2 cup of egg beaters. Ups the protein, still tastes amazing, and I don't worry about cholesterol that much.

I would love to knock back 5-8 per day but I currently don't any blood work or physicals done so I'm paranoid about that.
