hey guys for me- ive always had trouble with my weight. pretty standard complaint, but unlike my brothers and my friends, i cant eat normally and stay slim- i cant just have a chocolate bar once a day, or even have fruit juice as i just bloat up.
so i feel like i am constantly dieting. i dont really mind as it keeps me on my toes, and i work out as well. but i want to shift about ten pounds fairly quickly and then do an ongoing diet to keep the weight off.
As you would expect, in the past the fastest way i loose weight is by doing a (mildly) ketogenic diet- ie go ketogenic for 3 days and then go for like 3 weeks on high amounts of protein- leafy salads etc etc as you would expect.
however, i was wondering if doing a cyclic ketogenic diet was better. ie having one day off a week, to refire up the metabolism or something.
i am not asking for advice on how to get big, but instead i want a long term, fat cutting plan and muscle preservation.
i like ketogenic diets as they allow you have to have things like cheese and loads a meat without putting on weight, but i am wondering if in fact it would be better for me in the long run either to have a more varied diet, or to do a cyclic ketogenic diet, to shock my system
what would u recommend
