eating after cardio

how do you guys eat after a cardio session

to make it clear* when lifting i like to eat most of my carbs for the day after my workout to give myself an insulin spike etc.
 
Protein because cardio is catabolic

fat because ..... you just need fat in your diet (EFAs of course)

and carbs because you want want to restore your glycogen (not too many in you're cutting)

I usally go home, take a shower, then cook a nice meal and enjoy. I figure by the time, I shave, shower,relax cool down, and cook it has been a good 30mins, so eat what you would normally eat at that time, I prefer no carbs after cardio but that is just me.
 
I just decide based on how I feel. Most of the time I don't feel hungry for at least 30-45 min after cardio so I don't eat until then. I usually just eat purple grapes, potatoes or whatever.
 
i have a whey shake to stop the catabolic state... migh thave 1 scoop of whey an hour before i run and 2 scoops after
 
I only eat after cardio if I feel myself going dangerously hypoglycemic. Otherwise I eat at regular mealtimes.
 
Ussually about two hours after morning cardio. Reason. I make it home after the run, cook for the day (20 min), take a shower (20 min), go to work (between 20 min - 1 hr), then eat.
 
I tear into some carbs and protein right after cardio. Usually in the form of oatmeal and egg whites I do my cardio in the AM though. After that, the only carbs I have are in my post workout shake to give anice insulin spike ;-)
