Re: EASY TO USE CKD WORKSHEET...by: Mr.X

ok, so I admit that I have never tried a CKD diet, but what is the deal with the "65% fat, 30% protein, 5% carb" split... granted it might put your body in ketosis, but won't you also lose a ton of muscle with such low protein in take? Is my logic flawed? Why no 65% protein, 35% fat....??? Even then, I would question anyone who didn't lose any muscle... unless they were anabolic.

Enlighten me.

If you think that is something, you should read Body Opus. :) It's enlightening.

Yes, by him. His death at 47 isn't relevant to the material in the book.

Re: EASY TO USE CKD WORKSHEET...by: Mr.X

GOod move. The book is an excellent source and has some great information in it. IF nothing else it's a hell of a referrence. He really pushed the envelope.

Re: EASY TO USE CKD WORKSHEET...by: Mr.X

*BUMP*

Does anyone have a version of that spreadsheet I can have access to? I can't seem to get it off that site.

Re: EASY TO USE CKD WORKSHEET...by: Mr.X

Mr. X,

I went to the link for the worksheet, registered on that forum quickly and it tells me that I do not have permission to view that page.

What am I doing wrong, I would love to have this info.

You seem to be awesome when it comes to information, as I have read several of your posts.

Thakns for your help....

Re: EASY TO USE CKD WORKSHEET...by: Mr.X

I am either blind or its just not there cause I cant find where it says CKD WS. Can someone help or maybe input my info? 250lbs here. or email it to me at [email protected] thanx

Re: NEW DIET: The NOT so Natural FAT-FAST diet! by: Mr.X

Are these links still correct? they seem to be going to websites that say nothing about any sort of diet.

Re: EASY TO USE CKD WORKSHEET...by: Mr.X

I dont understand - I put my weight in and on the 7th day is says I need 606 grams of carbs??

Re: NEW DIET: The NOT so Natural FAT-FAST diet! by: Mr.X

I would also like to know other success/failure on this diet. I am at about 15% BF and want to drop a few pounds. Please update.

Re: EASY TO USE CKD WORKSHEET...by: Mr.X

I don't see what's hard to believe about shedding fat, infact, the opposite, i think it will be a good way to burn fat, limit the carbs, up the fat calories so the body turns to fat to use as energy. This way you are burning fat and sparing muscle, exactley what people aim for isn't it? ? ?

Re: EASY TO USE CKD WORKSHEET...by: Mr.X

That's awesome! I don't understand, though, why are the calories different from day to day?

Re: NEW DIET: The NOT so Natural FAT-FAST diet! by: Mr.X

I did this diet for the past month (not from reading this thread, just out of my own design. This is my first time actually seeing someone else advocating what I've been doing) using flaxseed, fish oil, and Costco whey protein and have been doing 30 minutes of high-intensity cardio every day on an empty stomach and weight training full-body 3x a week 5x5 style.

My results were horrible. My left arm shrunk by half an inch, my right by half an inch, and my abdomen by very, very little. My arms were already lean and now they're significantly smaller. My stomach has never been lean and still isn't. For some reason, the only weight lost on this diet was from muscle mass for me.

Did you follow the steriod recommendations? T3/clen as well?

50mg of anavar + 75 mg tren + 50mg of winstrol is EXTREMELY muscle sparing. I wouldn't even think for one second about running this diet naturally.

Yeah, I guess that's my problem. No steroids here, not even any supplements besides whey. Knowing that I still have a few more months of cutting, I have no idea how I'm going to be able to look in the mirror every day seeing my arms a whole freaking inch smaller knowing I can't do anything about it until my bulking stage.

Re: EASY TO USE CKD WORKSHEET...by: Mr.X

i think to keep the body guessing, and not getting set into a groove...

how long should a diet like this be run...?

and how much fat loss could one expect to see in 2 weeks on it...?

Re: EASY TO USE CKD WORKSHEET...by: Mr.X

I essentially have the same questions as Diesel.
But also, how are you guys doing this. I tried to work clean foods like lean ground beef, broc, and chicken into my daily quantities, and I can't find a way to get lots of calories with low carbs or low protein.
What are you guys eating? :jarswim:

Re: EASY TO USE CKD WORKSHEET...by: Mr.X

I started it today (omg, the headache & cravings are getting to me) and planned my diet for the weekend.

I'm having chicken thighs w/ skin (baked) to get proten and fat.

The hardest day is the carb up. I can't go over 23 grams of fat and 109 grams of protein. I assume the 366 carbs I have to eat will also include dextrose in a shake. I'm still trying to figure it out.

Re: EASY TO USE CKD WORKSHEET...by: Mr.X

I tried bulking with KETO once. I gained fat but very little muscle. When it comes to bulking, I, personally, DEFINITELY need to stick with higher-carb diets.

Re: NEW DIET: The NOT so Natural FAT-FAST diet! by: Mr.X

Mr. X

What do these numbers mean??

Day BMR Cal/day Fat Grams Protein Grams Carb Grams
1 2280 215 86 Less Than 20 Grams
2 2160 180 135 Less Than 20 Grams
3 2040 147 178 Less Than 20 Grams
4 2400 187 180 Less Than 20 Grams
5 2160 168 162 Less Than 20 Grams
6 2040 147 178 Less Than 20 Grams
(Carb Up) 7 3120 35 156 546

I have no clue what I'm supposed to do with these and what is supposed to happen if I stick to the numbers once I find out wht they mean ;) thanks

Re: EASY TO USE CKD WORKSHEET...by: Mr.X

This chart gives you a way to plan your daily meals.

The first number is the total calories you should be intaking. Following that are the number of grams you should be eating of:

Fat
Protein
Carbs.

On this type of diet, you are looking for a 65/30/5 breakdown on those areas. CKD is a diet that allows you 6 days of low (I mean really low) carbs, with a single day to carb up to allow the muscles to regain it's glyco, for the next week.

The question I have is, does this spreadsheet program aim to lose weight for the individual? Would it be possible for Mr X to tweek the spreadsheet to show the values for someone wanting to bulk on this diet?

It seems low for me (240 lbs) to be eating less than 3000 cals a day during a bulding cycle.

Thanks.
