well testurday i was having some pain in my elbow on my right arm. i blew it off and went on with my day. last night around midnight i woke up and i couldnt beleive the pain in my arm. i had shooting pians up and down my arm from traps to finger tips. i couldnt get back to sleep the rest of the night no matter what i did my arm wouldnt stop hurting. so i got up and went to doc. the doc told me well it seems its in your elbow you may have tendonitis, wait 10 days see if it still hurts if so we will do an mri. anyone else have tendonitis or a good way to rehab and elbow since doctor being dumb and said just dont use it but i am a mechanic so i have to use it. and to top it off i got my tire last night and now i cant use it:bawling: .
 
I'd stretch the muslces around your elbow first and maybe even do some light weight curls or something to warm up your arm.

Then ice the pain for about 30 min.
Then take a shower/bath/jacuzzi for another 30 min.
Stretch again.
Take some ibuprofen and then go sleep for a while.

Thats what I do to help de-flame my patella tendonitis.
 
I too have recently developed some minor tendonitis in my right elbow. My doctor told me to get some elbow wraps and double them (fold them in half) and wear them not on the elbow but right under the elbow. Make sure the wraps are very firm but not to the point of cuting off your circulation. This has helped me tremdously in helping with the pain. Try it, it couldn't hurt.
 
thanks for the ideas guys. does your pain go from your traps to your fingers adaus. i still think its something worse i never expected tendonitis to hurt so much this is the worst pain i have ever felt. i never go to the doc for aches and pains but this is horrifc just sitting still i can hardly take it. :(
 
I'm stuggling with a bout of tendonitis also. Rest is probably best. I kept pushing through my workouts and it kept getting progressively worse. Now, I'm to the point that I can't do back or biceps because I can't tolerate the pain from my biceps tendon. I started using heat for ~20 min, followed by ice massage for ~7 min, and follow that up with deep tissue massage for a few minutes. With ice massage, I mean freezing a little paper cup and using it to massage the inflammed area. I feels a little better to the touch, but the pain is still lingering. I hope to resume my workouts soon.
 
damn this is not looking good for me. and waht sucks even more is i am a mechanic so i am tearing hell in my elbow all day long. all my new strongman toys look like there gonna go to waste now and my dreams i might as well forget cause it seems i am gonna be in pain for many years. just when i was startin to have fun.
 
Dont give up.I had tendonitis BAD in both wrists for a long time.It still gets to me from time to time,but for the most part,I rarely notice it anymore.
 
i think i need do my usual lay off a week then say fuck it and keep goin seemed to work with everyother injury i have had. fuck pain as they say its just weakness leaving the body i will just live with it and hope i dont tear anything.
 
I have the same problem flared up earlier today and I couldn't even close my hand for about ten minutes. Just take advil to keep the swelling down and lay off for a while. Of course ice is always a safe way to go.
