You got some solid peeps in your corner girl! Love Melissa! Don't sweat the bodyfat thing, its just a datapoint that you track relative changes to -- also you might want to keep a log of all the individual pinch measurements as you get each BF measure done - that will not only give you the change in total BF over time, but also start to give you a picture of where you tend to hold more fat, more water ,etc. If you log the pinch measures relative to your diet on each of those days as well as your mood, what's going on in your life you can start to see patterns about thigns like where your body likes to hold water weight durign that time of the month, where you have less responsive muscles, if a really stressful day impacts your progress, etc. Its very interesting & a learning experience - you can also look back during your whole 16 week evolution and use what you 've learned from the previuos experience to give you more insight into how your progress is working or stallign out. So BF - its just another datapoint on your road to the stage. :)

Check us out on the women's board too - you can find lots of sympathetic ears about the horrors of bodyfat measure day, etc. :)

Danny (my training partner) wants to have me do a hydrostatic dunk. After doing some reading about bodyfat testing, it is the closest thing to accurate. I also learned that some ethnic groups have thicker epidermis layers that can throw the calipers off too. So, should the Hydro come back with the same reading as the calipers....then, there really is no arguing with the numbers.

I am totally over my little tantrum.... sort of :worried:


Nah, just kidding...
I really am over it! So long as I look GREAT I don't care what the number is.

Its better to go by how you look I got different BF readings from different trainers. I started to go get dunked also, but just decided to go mostly by how I look. I do think your right about the ethnic part.

As you Guys & Girlies know, I was totally freaking out about my bodyfat a few weeks ago. Well.....I got pinched and weighed again today (by the same person).

*DRUM ROLL PLEASE*

Current Stat: 129Lbs & 22% BF
In 3 weeks I lost 1Lb, 4% bodyfat, and my top two abs are trying to show.

I'll ask Melissa to takes some pics of me tomorrow.

Congrats! That means your diet is hitting the bodyfat & if you were holding on to any water, and retaining muscle! Congrats- looking forward to the pix!

Thats awesome about the bodyfat!
Great work. Post up some pictures of those abs. Show 'em of baby. You worked hard for them!!!
