Recently working at a bar I was asked to move some kegs by my boss from the outside to the basement. So I picked up the keg and threw it up on my shoulder and started to walk away with it to put it away in the cooler. My co-worker tried the same thing and could barely pick it up, he had to use the hand truck....he weighs about 30lbs heavier and he liftas well. But he doesn't dead or squat. Don't get me wrong size is good but you need strength with it, so to get stroing remeber to do your squats and deads.......
 
I agree with you 100% Lord_suston. The deadlift and squat develop useful real world strength. Too many people neglect these two awesome exercises, and can't lift jack in a real situation because of it. When somone asks you to help lift something, you're going to be using your back and legs mostly.
 
holy shit dude. just throwing a keg onto your shoulder is damn impressive. i work at a liquor store, and like every day i handle them and theyre heavy as shit.
