Does your healthy diet give flatulence problems?

Hi, I have a very healthy diet like most people on this forum, but an unfortunate consequence of this is the extreme flatulence.

When you add up the fibre from all the oats, + veggies, and legumes, for me it adds up to 70+ grams a day, and I often fart uncontrollably. I have recently dropped legumes without noticing an improvement.

Do others here have a problem and is there anything to do for it (do priobotics, degas etc help). Tried degas with no results

let your body adjust and it will go away after a while

Unfortunately, I have been this way for 5 months!

Even before I adopted an excellent diet, I used to eat a tin of beans (no sugar/salt) a day and about 150 grams of 97% whole grain wheat cereal, which also caused a problem although not quite as severe.

also if you if you find your self getting constipated drink more water, at least a gallon a day.

Nothing wrong with dropping a little ass....Or even a lot of ass! It's a side effect of the diet and some supps (if you're on any). It happens to me. Try to mix in a little BEANO, or some apple cider vinigar, or after the fact, use the GAS X strips. All should help.

what is so healthy about consuming that much gluten/wheat? no one should eat that many grams of wheat a day. even a small amount of wheat sometimes gives me stomach problems. a lot of people can't have a difficult time digesting wheat so it that great of amount, what can you expect. if you have flatulence that often, that means you are not digesting it.....so you are not even absorbing a lot of what you eat, so what is the point of eating it? fiber should not all come from gluten/wheat/oats but more from fruits and vegetables and other grains that are available. sprouted grains (www.foodforlife.com) which still contain wheat are a good option. still if you eat too much of it, it can cause digestive problems. enzymes and probiotics are good to use as well. the best enzyme ive used is from www.renewlife.com....the digestmore ultra enzymes.

forgot to add......beans should not be eatin in large amounts either....although they are better than wheat.

Thanks - i'll drop the beans (I don't eat much wheat now but mainly do oats. Also I'll reduce milk and see if it helps). I think brocolli could also be a killer for me, but will try to drop that last given its probably the second healthiest thing I can think of after spinach
