indoor or outdoor grill is your best bet. It take absolutely no brain power what so ever. Turn it on, throw your meat on it. That's it. They sell 30 min marinaded in your supermarket. Those are really good too. Another kitchen gadget is a crock pot(slow cooker). It is worth every penny!! When I am in the mood I will turn it on before I leave for work, 8 hours later, dinner! There are also plenty of recipes online. You will save so much money if you learn how to cook. Even if it's 5 or so different things.
cooking is easy and fun...all you need is time, the proper ingredients and a little imagination! It is especially satisfying to see people enjoying your meals!
For me, the two go hand-in-hand. I have never followed a recipe, per say. This does not mean that I have not gotten great ideas from cookbook recipes and added a little bit of my own pizazz to a dish!!! IMO, cookbooks are good as guidelines, the rest is up to you.

Real cooking is actually something I'd like to get into a little more. I plan on buying a good set of cookware sometime pretty soon and putting it to good use.

I would love to take some cooking courses. I don't have the ability to be inventive with food. I try but I just can't. I would love to cook a meal one day where everyone leaves my table saying how good it is. The closest I have come, was my sister's boyfriend was like, "yeah, your cooking is getting batter."
