I figure this would be a good topic....
How many of you have talked openly with your doctor about your use of aas or had to talk about it from some sort of medical reason??? Be honest!!!

my doctor told me he prescribes SUST to men over 30 with hormone problems and doesnt think any body builders use it as it is not designed for that hahahahaha

I have let doctors know before surgery....because it can effect your heart rate/rythm etc....they know the second you walk in there looking like a god compared to all the simple mortals that they see all the time. I say be honest.

My doctor is also one of my best friends from childhood ... What they learn in med school is the use of drugs to treat a condition , use the same drugs in a healthy body is not something thats been researched and documented by the medical community so basicly most of them are clueless, unless like us , they have researched it on there own .

exactly....when i go in that is the first thing they "assume"

Actually, I had the same doctor since I was 5yrs old till about 30yrs old.... He recently retired, anyway..... I did tell him about my use..... He wasn't very happy about it at first, but he actually did research on it after I told him..... Next time I saw him, we had a interesting conversation..... He told me that from his research he had a hard time finding negative studies on the topic..... He said the only negative studies were on 17 alka drugs, but Test and Deca based drugs seemed to be safe if done with moderate doses.... I was pretty shocked, cause my Doc was old school..... However, after he looked into the topic, he found that there isn't sufficent data on steroids being toxic or harmful..... He still wasn't endorsing my use, but I opened his eyes, and I thought it was pretty cool of him to make his own decision based on his own research..... If you know your Doc pretty well, and can talk to him, they will usually listen to you somewhat..... If you tell him you don't want this information on your medical record, and wanna talk to him off the record, he shouldn't put any of the information on your medical chart..... Docs are bound by confidentiality like lawyers, and most are moral, and will honor your request to talk to you off the record..... If they don't, I'd say get a new Doc.....

I was involved in a Motor Vehicle Accident that caused 2 herniated discs in my neck, after having my neck fused I persued a Civil Lawsuit. When you go for Deposition Hearings they have the right to go through all of your Medical Records and question you about them. So let's say you talk with your Dr. about AAS usage and he puts it in your Medical record and you have a civil lawsuit brought upon you, all of your Medical Records will be brought up. I think it just doesn't look good esp. when you have some pencil neck lawyer questioning you about steroids, plus your medical insurance can turn you down based on prior usage.

I am going in friday for my aas problem. I am not going to my regular doc. I'm going to the walk in clinic, pay cash, no ID, here on spring break with a problem.
