Brandon Hancock plays for Clovis West High School in Fresno, California, and the 6'1", 242-pound Hancock was remembered last year as a sophomore that was absolutely cut at 225. Well, Brandon came in this year even more chiseled, and just had a freakish workout, perhaps the finest one ever witnessed at a Nike combine. For starters, he ran a swift 4.49 in the 40, a 4.37 in the shuttle, jumped a crazy 39 inches in the vertical and bench pressed 185 pounds a whopping 43 times, the highest total at any of the Nike camps in the nation so far this year. He plays MLB on defense for Clovis West and Fullback when it comes to offense. Brandon wants to take more snaps with the ball, and who can blame him? With the combination of size, speed and power he brings to the table, his coach would be insane not to let him tote the rock as much as he wants. To paraphrase the immortal USC Coach John McKay, "It's not that heavy.", and in Hancock's case that phrase sounds even funnier.
