Do you strech?

I never do except after i take a set to failure..How would this affect my results.
But i see people doing this all the time ..does it really help?

Don't do it before or during a workout. The next day is fine, but you don't want to destroy the muscles stretch reflex. Warm up by using light weights in the ROM of your lift, but I would not recommed stretching before a lift. And I can do the splits, so I am not against stretching, just not while lifting.

I stretch just after i get up and before i go to bed.....that seems to suit me fine. i train in the afternoon

I stretch every morning after warming up for 10 minutes and before doing my daily cardio. It makes it so I am not stiff that day and I can easily do my workout.

I also do warmup stretchs before lifting, just to avoid injury. It's not regular stretchs, just jerk my arms back and forth to loosen up a little.

I've read that stretching before lifting will decrease your strength. Tight muscles are usually stronger then loose ones. However, I still like to stretch during my workouts, and haven't noticed any difference in strength.

so far, just my ear lobes...........4 gauge now

I always stretch to prevent injury. I have noticed that when I stretch my first set feels better than it would if I did not stretch.
But if I do not stretch than the second set (say bench for instance) I feel much stronger. Go figure
