Do you recommend dairy ?

I hear alot of differing opinions on whether I should be drinking milk. Honestly love the stuff. But is it bad for my health ? Don’t think I feel any negative effects from it. Just curious ?

Im on the fence. If you need it for the calories then go for it(I do) but at the same time if a person can get their cals without it then we humans should probably just leave it

Most adult humans have issues with lactose.

highly unlikely because there isn't a species on earth that consumes milk past the infant stage and it is their own species. the only milk you should be drinking is your mommy's milk when you are a baby and fresh out of her breast. not formula

and even if you disagree with that milk ask if that milk is pasteurized (it won't be), if the cow is grassfed (highly unlikely). so it isn't even raw milk anyway.

so my answer pure and simple is avoid milk as much as possible. it will do your health the most good.

ironically people are consuming milk that is skim or less fat and that is even less healthy than whole milk. also with whey protein we are taught to buy isolate since it is less fat cause it is filtered. ironically again we are avoiding fat and companies that sell isolate always add lots of sugars and things like HFCS to it. just another example how food companies trick people

Milk is not bad for you. I drink about a half gallon a day. Some people have ruined their ability to digest it but I say that’s their problem. It has perfect macro ratios and it’s delicious!

I have to say that humans are the only ones who drink it because we are the only ones who know how to get it. If you give another animal milk it’ll chug that down and ask for more.

Also if a pack of wolves kills a dairy cow they rip the udder open and lap it up. Just saying.

I don't really care to drink milk, however I do eat cheeses. There are definitely great nutrients, but you must consume it in moderation.

the animal would need to be pregnant to even have milk and also the milk would be raw. the milk you get from the store is not raw, it is pasteurized heavily and it is completely dead food.

now if you somehow know a local farmer who has grassfed cows and you can get the milk raw then you could be able to convince me on that it would be healthy.

through farming we have learned to acquire milk by fencing animals and forcing them to be milked and get knocked up. farming has only existed a fraction of how long humans have existed on earth though

so a wild animal that is pregnant running around you wouldn't be able to go up to it and milk it without getting a swift kick.

if you can tolerate dairy that is fine, but there is no way you can argue that another species milk that is zapped via a pasteurization process is in any way a part of a natural diet.

now I do eat some european cheese, non pasteurized. it is a treat for me maybe a couple times a month and has some health benefits like pro biotics so i am not 100% anti-dairy. but i am very adament that most people who reduce dairy and even quit it entirely will have tremendous improvements to their health by doing that. for one dairy is inflammatory which is not good

I agree with a lot of that. Only dairy cows don’t have to get knocked up to produce milk. They just do that year around. A lot of milk protein is denatured and such but I don’t think it’s bad for you.

And as you know not all milk is pasteurized at the same temperature either. Some is more denatured than others. Fair life brand for example is Ultra high temperature processed, whereas most is only high temp. But yeah, the pregnant cow thing is not accurate for diary cows.

The best is milk, don’t need cup, with peanut butter and honey on my toasts. Honey is a mouth jamming exercise.

Or wait, maybe I’m wrong. I’ve always heard they get hormones to make it so. That seems like the hard way around if that’s how it works. Seems inefficient too.

Lol okay this bothered me so I’ve been researching. There are cows we’ve bred that produce milk most of the year but you’re right we still make them breed once a year regardless. As long as you keep harvesting large amounts of milk the cow will produce for quite a long time.

If you drink milk, then only natural. And milk from stores is unlikely to bring much benefit to your body.

there is a difference between factory farms and a local organic farm.

this video is hard to watch but this is exhibit A why don't drink milk. i could not care less even if there was health benefits. this video is hard to watch and these clowns only got like 2 days in jail and are right back out doing the same thing and that milk is sold at publix supermarkets all across the southeast.

the guy who filmed it is a former marine, it is good to see our heroes fighting for what is right after their service, love to see that

Natural milk is certainly a healthy product. However, what is sold on our shelves is not.

Milk with filtration on the market is good. However, beef with animal protein is dangerous. This is prohibited in Canada and all of Europe. I am not sure if all American farmers use that. They don’t have a lot of advantage to sell more, the market is smaller than their capabilities.

I say drink away but I can see why some people shouldn't. Especially those that need to cut the calories. LOVE me some Kroger chocolate milk! lol
