i think its fuckin ignorant when people leave plates on. i hate walkin up to the only open bench and thers like 275 on it thats been sittin there for like an hour and i gotta take all that shit off.

At the gym I go to now, racking the weights covers up a host of other sins. I can curse and stomp around after missing a lift but get a smile from the trainer because I always strip the bar down.

At my old gym if you got caught leaving weights on the bar or not returning your dumbells you got 1 warning and then a weeks suspension. It was in the contract you signed for the gym membership.

Before this there wasn't one straight bar in the place, they were al bent form sitting there with a few hunderd pounds on each end.

Another thing is those tools that can't controle their weight and trop the dumbells on the ends. Hate doing dimbell curls or press with dimbells looking like this \-/

always... cause sometimes when i walk up i assume it's still in use and waste time hanging around

worse is the idiots who leave the bar loaded ON ONE SIDE

Woah speaking of not putting back plates. Today I saw a guy doing deadlifts. A few minutes later the bar was still on the floor with all the weight on it but he was loading up the squat press machine. I figured, ok well he's going to come back to it and clean up. He used 900lbs for his squat press and then left every plate on the squat press and walked off. I then thought, ok he is going to get water and will come back to move the weight. About 30-45 seconds after I hadn't seen him I walked around trying to find him to remind him that he had over 20 45 pound weights and a barbell that he hadn't put back. Next time I see this guy do that I might just throw a 45 at his face.

I am wondering everyone's thoughts on this.

my thoughts are that it pisses me off when someone deadlifts 300+ lbs, and leaves them on the bar, in the squat rack, on the ground, and is nowhere to be found. it's disrespectfull to the others who pay to use the facilities if you just leave the crap when you're done with it. i take the extra minute to put back the weight, and it doesn't kill me. it's just a friggin' hassle when i go to squat...

RESPECT, have some people.

My last gym was a disaster for people not giving a shit. Not only did they leave the plates on the Bars, but dumb-bells were either left on the floor, or were put on the rack mixed up. It was like an obstacle course when it was busy. Great gym, but some serious jerks in there.
