Do you ever pay attention to your sodium intake?

So I've started to get a lot more anal about my diet and something that I have been completly blown away by is the high amount of sodium that is taken in without concious effort. Today I've already taken in over 4000mg sodium and I'm not ever near done eating.

Disgusting. Getting complete control is going to be harder than I first realized. It's all about the results though. I have some abs begging to be shown off and I need to heed thier call.

if you want to be lean, salt must be monitored very closely, do not add it to foods, get a salt sub they sell those, no sodium

Sodium is an epidemy. In ancient times, we ate a 7/1 ratio of potassium to sodium. Now with the introduction of table salt in our foods, that ratio has become out of wack. Hypertension is rampant now. Children are now born with a pre-determened preference for sodium. That shit is NOT good for you. I try to avoid as much sodium as possible, even if it means food tastes like ass. :p

1] High sodium does not induce hypertension in healthy people

2] Eat more vegetables to lower the Na/K ratio and everything will be fine (and you'll be able to enjoy your juicy steak with some salt :p )
