Just wondering how many of you guys drink soda. I been staying away from it for a long time and just recently started drinking diet, maybe 1-2 cans a day, but other than that just water.
I drank 4 beers on new years and somehow by the time I woke up New Yrs Day my cell phone wound up in my kitchen sink submerged in a dirty protein drink glass filled with water. $300 phone is history! Actually I think I got happy new yr txt msgs from all of my friends and my phone vibed itself into the sink on it's own. I couldn't have been that fucked up.sparetire said:mostly water, 2 cans of coke zero.. drink a little bit of reg. soda on the weekend but during teh week, no reg. soda, no coffee..

C3bodybuilding said:The diet sodas aren't bad on the waist line, but sometimes too much artificial sweetner such as splenda and sweet n low can make it harder to get rid of those last few lbs of water/fat. But we are talking about an extreme contest diet when you are trying to pull it all together that last week. I doubt for the rest of the year or for someone looking to get into good shape that it would make much of a difference.
I forget, is there much sodium in those diet colas? I haven't had one in a while.
Alzheimers maybe?Excidium28 said:Saccharin thats in Sweet n' low has shown to cause cancer in rats. And I believe the stuff used in splenda and sugar twin has shown to cause old timers.

sofakingdel said:my mom is a dietician and she told me that the sodium in soda makes you more thirsty so your thirst is never completely quenched when you drink a soda, the same thing with Gatorade
sofakingdel said:--reg and diet soda has 30-40 grams of sodium and gatorade has like 270 grams. thirst, bloat wut more can you ask for?

chestmaster1 said:Hey, stop listening to your mom, look at the back, soda barely has any sodium, If I remember correctly which I usually do, pepsi has 35mg of sodium which comes out to 1% of your daily value in an entire 12 oz can, and most soda's are either between 1% and 2% of the daily value so don't go saying shit that you don't know shit about! you have to be an idiot to think soda has 30-40 grams and gatorade 270, get out of here!
sofakingdel said:My bad its MG instead of Grams bro but a soda is between 30 and 40 mg in a 12oz serving, wut if you drink a couple a day or a two liter and gatorade does have 110 mg per 8oz 270 mg per 20oz serving thats 11%, thats more than a bag of chips or a bucket of McNasties french fries so if someone is trying to cutback on the sodium do you think thats what they want, no, so yeah I admit i made a typo but I still have a point think about it and stay off my ass smart guy
chestmaster1 said:Alright, my bad bro , you just made a mistake. my point is that a couple of diet cokes isn't going to bloat you and if you read on the can it says its not a significant source of sodium. On the other hand, good point about the gatorade, but mcdonalds french fries have more sodium then that.
"Old timers disease" LOL. I started drinking diet sodas as a little kid because all my mom would buy was Tab, one of the first diet sodas , if not the first. the saccharin in it was shown to cause cancer in rats in some outrageous ungodly amount. so i've been drinking diet sodas only for over 40 years, can't stand the sugary ones. having one right now with a fine cigar, it helps cleanse my palate. i drink 1 1/2 to 2 gals of water a day, been doing that for over ten years. gawd , i pee alot though.Excidium28 said:Saccharin thats in Sweet n' low has shown to cause cancer in rats.
