do you belive life is what you make it?

yes. everytime i hear someone say "if its meant to be, it will be" i wish i had a nail gun

reach out with your mind and your hands and do what you want

ah yes, the college student that is in college with no clue of their future. tough decision. i heard a girl last semester saying "i'll graduate in teh spring with my Criminal Justice degree but i have no clue what i'm going to do...."

THEN WHY IS IT YOUR MAJOR?!

Psychology is my major (unless i find something else i want to study) and i just declared Criminal Justice as my minor. my plans? i'm dead set on becoming a lawyer.

just gotta figure out what you want to do. and if you aren't excited over classes pertaining to your major, then change your major.

but i can't tell you what to do. you're on your own pal. study what interests you and then find a way to turn it into a career. that's how you'll figure out what to do.

What if you tire easily of every major you try? The future is a very uncertain place. Like it or not, no matter how much you make for yourself, you ALWAYS have to depend on someone else for sucess. Unless you're rich already. When you go to get a job, someone's got to hire you. When you want to start your own business, you have to kiss ass for people to finance it. And then you're dependent on the customers to bring you business. They are not dependent on you for a product, unless you have something that no one else has. If you're a aspiring musician, you have to depend on a label to sign you.
The bottom line is, unless you're already rich, the opportunities for creating your own wealth independently are very few and far between.

I was born the son of a peasant farmer and by the age of 30, I was making 500K US dollars per day.

A true columbian success story.

Go up to someone that was born with no legs, or born blind and they will say so 100%, go up to someone that has had legs or was able to see and lost that later in life and they will spit on you if you ask them that….i don’t know where I’m going with this but I’m going to get another beer

Absolutely. No one else is going to do it for you.

Agreed. You can make your life whatever you want it to be. What you have to do to get there may be hard, painful, emotional or just a lot of work, but it can be done!

I have to remind myself of this sometimes when I get caught up wallowing in miserableness. I just need to get off my ass and figure how to change things.

Life is for a good part what you make it. but the myth that you can become what you want if you work hard at it is complete nonsense, and evil
