I think you overestimate that deal, or there is somehow a big difference over the ocean. It´s possible that there is. The USA is more religious, and religion tends to bring lots of sexual ignorance and irrationality to populations.

My real point is that if gay relationships could produce accidental pregnancies I think the comparision would be more even. I don't think gay or straight has to do with what you want from your life, I know gay couples that want their own family as I know straight people that think their whole life will be about "scoring".

Selfish? I'm not sure about that. I know some people who did the "right" thing and gave up the child because they knew that they couldn't take care of it. Not a day goes by where they aren't haunted by the decision, but it was one of the best one they made.

You're taking it wrong - people make good and bad selfish choices everyday that have nothing to do with a fetus.

On a personal note I would say selfish is bring a child into the for all the wrong reasons but that's opinion and not fact.

Agreed, on the personal opinion. I know a couple who recently had a kid to save their marriage. I saw them yesterday. When I saw their one year old, I didn't know what to say...what you think...because I knew about all the noise behind the smiles.

I felt sorry for that kid. Truely sorry and hoped that my predictions wouldn't come true. What a cute kid. Great, now I'm sad.

My friend, my godson's mother is having number 2 next month - she conceived a few weeks after the three four months she spoke about getting divorced. All last winter it was I hate him, I hate my life, I hate being married, I knew it was a mistake - HEY let's have another one!!!!

I have a very hard time spending time with them - it's all lie, she hates her husband, husband avoids coming home at all costs, kid number one is in day care as often as possible - even the grandparents are like "yah they're having another one".

I don't get it.

Didn't you see the poetry that I posted up last week when I found my old HS books? I thought I would interject it from time to time.

That is sad. I feel for that kid because I can imagine what this one is going through.
