Please Scroll Down to See Forums Below I've been watching youtube vids on how to style my hair different ways, I've been doing this for a couple of years but tonight I do something totally different. After watching a million youtube vids, I went out and got myself a pair of hair shears and I'm trimming my own fringe! The girl I go to is super expensive and sometimes I dont want my whole hair cut just my bangs and I let someone else do them last time and the girl freaking cut sideways down my bangs in a diagonal lol. Needless to say she didnt know what she was doing. So I'm going to do it this time and if it works I'm going to post the vids I used. Wish me luck! I'm nervous!!

yeah, I've cut my own hair a bunch of times...beyond bangs it always looks like Ive cut my own hair..be careful!

Yeah, I know I'm only going to attempt my bangs. Should I not do it? The girl who does my hair is 45 minutes away (Kansas City has some serious urban sprawl issues) and although I can go to her when I want my hair cut every 3 months or so, I cant wait 3 months for my bangs. I tried a nearby girl and I didnt like it.
well...you say fringe some Im guessing you have fringy bangs...visualize cutting short V's in your bangs and you'll be fine
also..less is more! SERIOUSLY!
you can also razor em if you have a razor blade or want to hold em tight and use a regular razor (hard to screw up that way too)

Yes thats exactly what I'm thinking, cutting up little v's in my bangs. Thats what I've been watching on youtube vids. I know it sounds crazy that I'm going to do this. I'm having second thoughts
So you've tried cutting your own bangs and didnt like the result?
Well, its just my bangs and I've been watching so many youtube vids and it looks really simple, I dont have the bangs that would require a steady hand. I have side swept fringe bangs. My hair, which is super duper long and layered, I would never attempt to cut my hair myself
it would be physically impossible. I dont like depending on my girl to have the perfect bangs and having to go to her so often. lol Surely I can do it myself?!!? I did it! First off I made sure to pull forward all of my bangs. I made two sections, the one closest to my forehead would be the shortest layer the second would be longer. I made a diagonal with my fingers and pointed the sissors up and cut tiny little v's into my hair. I worked my way up. It looks awesome. Well, not as good as my girl but it will be good enough to get me through till my next major trim.

I know! I do too. Well, I get my hair colored every 8 weeks but I dont let the same girl who colors my hair cut it. Since I go to two different girls I really have to figure out a way to get extend the time between all these apointments
