Dirty Sanchez is the real deal....

calveless wonder

New member
watched the whole game. kid had excellent footwork in the pocket (as he did at USC)...really bought some time and made some excellent throws.

what a first game....almost 300 yards passing and a TD. probably could have had more but they let jones score a couple.

first time i been so happy watching a jets game in a long long time.

on a side note...anyone see the cinci denver game? Holy fuck...they put it after the jets/texans game and i couldn't believe what i saw. chad ochocinco must want to shoot himself

Remember all the fags saying how Stafford was going to make Sanchez look like shit today?

LOL at Stafford's 43% completion rate, 205 yds, no td's, and 3 int's with a QB rating of 27.

btw I agree he looked good most of the time

Not sure how he'll fare getting smacked around by top tier defenses.
He should be able to move the ball against the Pats, their defense is gonna take some weeks to gel. They basically have to outscore people until that happens.

I've been watching him in pre-season and called this shit awhile ago. I am not really surprised. Stafford failing also doesn't surprise me.
All my posts from the last week were how the Jets stole the best player in the draft and that stafford will be a servicable player one day but not a star. We'll see what happens.

is there gunna be a circle jerk for this wetback every week? christ

if brady quinn did something today you probably wouldn't be this bitter.

the jets have never had a young QB you can really believe in (minus chad before all the injuries and even then he never had the physical tools of sanchez). let us have our moment. it doesn't happen often

i wasn't surprised that'd he do well in the NFL..i just didn't think he'd be that poised, that quickly...in hostile territory. since they drafted him i knew he had all the mental and physical skills...i just didn't know how quickly it'd happen.

jets d looked awesome. andre johnson was completely shut down and matt schaub was on his ass the entire game

I dunno why everyone had a hard on for stafford...The kid wasnt that good at georgia. He just handed off to moreno most of the time. He seemed to throw a lot of picks as well. Mel Kiper was basically gargling staffords cum all offseason before the draft

yep. he was pretty lame at georgia and anyone who watched enough SEC football can attest to that. lots of wobbly passes...doofy looking kid with not much poise. has a strong arm and has a proto typical QB build...that's about it

Week 3 and 16 will be their only Defensive challenges.

Luckily they don't play Baltimore or Pittsburgh. They have an easy schedule.

EDIT: I'm also disappointed that this post wasn't about some stank beaver you nailed over the weekend. I was looking forward to a description of dirty sanchez.

i agree with ortiz completely!! he did look pretty good this week honestly but the defense he was facing was garbage. let see how he fair against a hard hitting defense that will level him on every play as soon as he releases the ball

agree with chris and cw completely.

sanchez will be one of the great QBs of his era.
stafford will be the next ryan leaf.
and the lions will continue to dominate.

so he had one decent game against the texans of all teams. i say give him a full season to make a complete assessment

that's certainly not the saints

your lack of football knowledge is shining through here.
in order for a defense to do that, the pass protection needs to break down. the jets o-line is top 5 in football....

you guys can say this or that about the texans defense...but mario williams and demeco ryan are all pro players. not like this was against the lions.

the stat that was most impressive....

on 3rd down he was 12 of 15 for 192 yards and a TD. the haters (mostly ortiz...who will hate even if sanchez threw for 30 TD's and 10 INT's this year) can't even argue that stat. Especially not for his first NFL game.

i agree it's a long season but it's an impressive start.

can't wait for the pats next week

Fucking McNabb gets hurt right before playing a team they should be able to light up. Plus, I'd be able to give puds and poboy shit for their shitty team losing.

Fuck.

lol, you're so cute!

matt schaub had over 3000 yards in 11 games last year. he threw 14 touchdowns and only 5 int's after week 2. if he was healthy (big if with him) he would have been 2nd only to drew brees in passing yards

texans had the 3rd best offense in the NFL last year (way better than the pats)...

and they got shut down completely.

but i should know better than to expect you to pay attention to things like facts.

CW loves to talk shit in the beginning of the season. Every year like clockwork. Then as his teams fizzle he just gets angry and bitter. Like ortiz when he's happy.

Fuck.

Kevin Kolb is garbage....hopefully mcnabb plays hurt (not like the saints have a pass rush). a 65% mcnabb is better than a 150% (HGH + 750 mgs of test) kevin kolb

jeff garcia could be good in the interim...but he just got signed today. at least he knows their system.

i think they're still run all over the saints D. definetely going to start westbrook next week in fantasy

I've cracked a rib and it was hard to do day to day stuff. His is on his throwing side and he'll still get hit. I seriously doubt he'll play.

philip rivers played all drugged up with a torn ACL.
granted, it was a playoff game but some ngrs are tough

that said, i doubt he'll play too. sucks because ribs take a couple of months to completely heal and nothign you can do about it to expedite

he's on my fantasy team so i'm pissed. luckily i have romo as my primary qb

luckiest(and at the same time stupidest) shit i've ever seen.

if pats keep playing like that they're in trouble

Luckiest? LMAO! What those two gift wrapped "roughing the passer" calls the Bills got that one of them led to a TD?
Is that what you are talking about?
How did the Pats get lucky other than kicking it into high gear in the last 1/3rd of the game

looking forward to next week
Pats got their work cut out for them to beat the Jets on the road

Fuck the Jets. They put Woodhead on the practice squad.

hey douche. when did i ever say anything about the fuxking saints defense you moron. i said a hard hitting defense what the fuck makes you think im referring to the saints! fuck you. fucking idiot. saints was never mentioned. he went a up against a defense with 2 players. come on. ortiz is correct. he didnt play against a good defense. get the fuck you idiot. your telling me im not knowledgeable about football. your the fucking idiot that thinks the texans have a good defense. also learn how to read. i NEVER mentioned the saints. its obvious they dont have a top tier defense.

i just wanted to bust your balls about the saints

they were definitely lucky...and deserved to lose up until the last 5 minutes of the game. but obviously the bills deserved to lose more. Taking it out from the end zone with the hands team out there and a 1 possession lead with 2 minutes left......jesus christ. It's one thing for a freak play like the cinci/denver game where you can't really point the finger with conviction at anybody, it's another to defy all football common sense.

i'm just bitter. i was looking forward to busting your balls tonight. at least it'll make next week more interesting (battle for 1st technically)

Same bull shit happened against Baltimore 2 year ago when Suggs was called for a ghey roughing the passer call toward the end of the game against the Pats. Then there was the time-out call in the same game. Baltimore had them, but couldn't finish them, that's what it reminded me of. Baltimore could have ruined the Pats perfect season.

yep...i actually was just thinking about that game.

should be interesting to see what Rex has up his sleeve for the pats offense. he had their number that night. i hope he can replicate it

I remember Bart Scott losing his cool and being a complete ass, but I don't remember the Suggs play (not sayin it didn't happen)

but those 2 calls last night almost made me want to stop watching the NFL all together

Wilfork was falling on him as he was throwing the ball

AD. Thomas wrapped him from the side and took him down, with the ball!

those are penalties now?

John Gruden said if either of those where a penalty it was new to him. They were baffled in the booth

BTW, this is awesome now that football is back baby!

lol @ cajunsaint tweaking

top fiv3 Qb's
1) sanchez
2) brady
3)p. Manning
4) Breez
5) warner

no fuckin way lol

1. brady/brees (toss up but right now playing wise i would say brees but brady takes it bc of the rings. cant take that away from him)
2.
3. P. Manning
4. Roethlisberger
5. Warner
6. Ryan

it's hard to rate who the top QB is because there are so many variables. no matter how good a QB is if their line sucks then they won't excel as much as someone with a great line.
Receiving core is also a big part of that along with what weight you attach to different factors (rings, passing yards, td's/ints).

If you rated based on last season (or prior to injuries) it'd be alot different than this year.

IMHO brady(knee) and warner(hip) seem slowed down by the injuries a bit. only time will tell what effect it has long term.

Based on numbers, Brees is the best QB but they've been out of the playoffs two years in a row and he's not neccessarily "clutch".

If i had to start a team and could pick any quarterback it'd be

1.) peyton manning
2.) tom brady (pre injury)
3.) philip rivers
4.) drew brees
5.) roeth

warner's not up there because of his age and the fact you don't know how he'll recover from that hip injury.

I don't even like peyton manning but the man is one of the greatest QB's of all time. just a really smart QB with a great football IQ, great arm, and pocket presence. And he's a winner. You rarely see peyton get sacked and yeah his line has been good, but it's because he knows when to dump the ball or take a dive.

Brady is 2nd because Indy never had the defense that NE did, and despite that they still won a ton of games year in and out.

i agree with your points. but if we are talking about best in the game today you would have to go with brees or brady. IMO peyton is on the decline. brees will have a better numbers year with brady but bc of bradys "primetime" nature and bradys clutch factor i think it brings it very close. brady/brees. you cant go wrong with either. i have manning as my fantasy QB and since hes from NO i hope he proves me wrong. well kinda... lol i hope he does better than brady but i hope he does worse than brees lol

good but waaay overrated IMHO

way overrated?

playing with a torn ACL in the playoffs and not afraid to take a hit is overrated?

having the highest passer rating in the league is overrated?

completes 65% of his passes....with one of the lowest interception rates for any QB in their QB.

overrated...i don't think so.
snubbed out of the pro bowl last year? Definetely

Wow, good brawl in the yankee game just now. Even Joe G. got hurt a little. Jorge don't take shit, lol.

But yeah... that was a joke. Maybe next year could be regarded as that good... I hope!
Rating QB's always makes for good chat as well.
Okay football experts,
Without googling who is the highest rated passer of all time in the NFL? My favorite QB to watch all time.

he has pretty good WRs. Vincent Jackson is IMO the most underrated WR in the league. Gates is one of the best TE in the league with 2 premier running backs... a stellar defense??? the man better have a high completion rating but why hasn't he done anything else? somethings missing

the colts have won at least 12 games for the past 6 years....
that's unheard of.

peyton is on the decline? Tom brady just came back from a major injury, while peyton has never had a major injury. Brady hasn't proved he's the old brady yet. and you know what? Even though brady might look younger than manning...he's only 1 year younger.

Brady's also only threw more than 30 TD's once (yes, he did set the record when he did) but manning has consistently thrown 30+ td's with 4000-4500 yards nearly every season.

peyton may only have had one ring but like i said...NE had the better defense and as much as i hate to say it..the better coach.

correct. but Anthony Gonzales is gone for the year. all he has is dallas clark and reggie wayne. thats why im nervous to start peyton. eventhough i have both wayne and manning i just dont have faith in him like i used to. if i remember correctly doesn't peyton call his own plays? bc didnt they lose their offensive coordinator?

man, arguing football with you is hilarious.

name one receiver on the chargers in the past 5 years that's been in any 10 top WR statistical category (aside from dropped balls).

Vincent jackson
chris chambers
eric parker
malcolm floyd
jacob hester

That's been the chargers wide receivers during the past 4-5 years. Only the vikings and bears have had worse receivers in that time frame.

Gates and LT have been monsters, but you won't find 1 person that will agree with your statement.

WOW!!! so your telling me that chris chambers and vincent jackson dont have the potential to be Pro Bowlers? Gates is a pro bowler... you have to be kidding me. brees has the number 1 offense and how many pro bowlers (besides himself) none!! come on man. its obvious brees is doing something right that rivers is getting wrong. you think your right about everything. thats what amusing

I think Flacmo will fly under the radar most of the year, but will surprise a lot of people. Being a B-More native its nice to finally see an attackin game through the air which can open up our ground game. With 3 strong backs and a QB that can air it out, there is no reason for Baltimore's game not to be one of the most powerful in the league this year.

Everyone use to always say "Oh shit, Baltimore's D" and now they have an offense to go with it. Their biggest achilles heal in the past was having the D get right back on the field after a 3 and out, not any more.

Hey Ortiz? Why the fuck would the pats trade seymour? The guy is such a beast.

seymour is good but they gave got a number 1 for him. they can get a fresh young kid rather then an aging former all pro. i think seymour came out last night with something to prove so i dont think it will last. i understand the move

ask the city of miami what they think about chris chambers.

one of the funniest jokes i've ever seen was one night at a bar my drunk friend went up to someone with a chris chambers jersey and goes "if i throw this napkin at you, are you going to drop it?". lmao

Well, that pick was for 2011 and they are really hurting their season. Now with Mayo out they are in deep shit.

coming from a chargers fan, our WRs are inconsistent as fuck.

Yes, Jackson is really emerging and i have high expectations for him this year, but the most underrated WR in the league? Tons of people also have high expectations for him, and being the #1 WR on a team who usually has a stellar running game and one, if not the best TEs is a really good situation for him. Not to mention rivers.

Chambers is fucking shit.... I remember i reached to get him in fantasy wen he came to SD because he played really well in the season before for the fins, and he was a huge dissapointment. I honestly cannot think of a player who i have been more dissapointed with in the last few years than chris chambers. To say he is a pro bowl caliber player is like saying the saints are a good, well rounded team; it's complete utter fucking bullshit.

If i had to rate QBs 1-5 who i would like to have on my team at this moment, it would probably be something like

1. Brees- undeniably the best QB over the last few years stat wise- gotta love him
2. Brady
3. Manning
4. Rivers
5. Romo

Honorable mentions: Flacco, Big ben, Warner, Ryan, Rodgers

Flacco is underrated as fuck; going to be huge this year and the ravens are my underdog SB pick

Flacco is underrated as fuck; going to be huge this year and the ravens are my underdog SB pick

+1

Keeping the offense on the field for longer than a three and out is all the defense needs. They haven't had that for years.

Well, that pick was for 2011 and they are really hurting their season. Now with Mayo out they are in deep shit.
Seymour only had 1 year left on his deal, and he was not going to get resigned. So the Pats got a 1st rounder, for an aging yet still dominant player who was going to be leaving town anyways. Plus, the 2011 pick is far more valuable than if it were 2010. Next year is almost certainly going to be an uncapped year, paving the way for a rookie salary scale in 2011.

lol@ leave it to the Raiders to trade a #1 pick and most likely a top 6 one or better for a 30 y/o player who doesn't sign an extension.
Davis said when he and belichick spoke about the deal, he told him he would have to run it by the owner (Kraft) when Belichick has TOTAL control. He just wanted to get off the phone and wanted to do the happy dance, he probably couldn't believe what he was pulling over on the Raiders.
Wasn't Moss had for a 3rd or 4th ?lol

Maybe Bill knows his team sucks this year and needs to build for the future.
