diff workout while on sauce (debate)

This has just been brought to my attention, a cool guy at my gym knows im 'on' right now and ive told him im doing the 4-6 rep range HEAVY for compound movements. Ive done this for the longest time even without sauce. He told me to do 8-10 reps for muscle growth which he called hypertrophy, but my question is doesnt increasing your strength=increase in muscle mass? Also should i switch up? go to the 8-12 rep range? But being on juice right now, shouldnt i try go real heavy? Instead of going lighter for higher reps? Note im on my 3rd week of sust, following up on fina later.

that really depends on you.

some say that the correlation between strenght and size is weak at best.

I think you should do lots of isloation movements, with moderate weight heavy, but not too heavy....you are on.....so develop every plane of muscle on you......so you look like a bodybuilder, with full pumped muscle bellys.

sure I know other guys who have been on and they could bench 4 plates, but did there pecs get any more developed......no.

so I say go for illusion not dillusion, develop your muscles through more isolation, rather tha strenght moves.

Id keep it between 8-10 reps..I wouldnt go under 6 reps...some people however do respond better to higher reps...whatever youve responded best to

It's definitely whatever works best for you dude. Personally, I try and keep my reps around 10-12 with no less than 8 while on a muscle building phase. Usually, after a cycle and when I'm trying to lean out, I go a little heavier, with less volume. During these periods, I would lift anywhere from 3-8 reps for most sets, but I definitely still go higher reps (12+) on certain sets and exercises. Again man, just give it a try and see what works. If you're eating enough and training hard with low reps and aren't seeing the muscle gains you want, then try going a little lighter with higher reps and a few more sets thrown in for good measure. As long as you're eating enough, the extra volume shouldn't hurt you too much while you're on AS. Good luck bud.

I would like to hear more views on this. From what I've always been told when your on juice, it's important to go as heavy as you possibly can(lower reps-higher weight).

Be careful if you go real heavy, puts alot of strain on your tendons.

Your mucsles will grow fast and you will push more weight.

Your tendons and joints dont grow, so they can be a weak point as you get stronger.

I would say.....

6 to 10 due to fewer than six will not tax your reserves sufficiently and more than 12 could cause you to terminate the set due to cardiorespiratory insufficiency before muscular failure is reached!
