Ok so im 6ft tall and weigh 165 and have a body fat of 19 percent. I want to weigh around 130 with body fat of 9 percent or less. Im a very picky eater. do you think i can reach my goal in 3 months with a very clean diet and working out daily such as 5 miles on a trademill and light lifting of weights. My main goal is tobecome lean. How many calories should i intake and what should my diet look like. Please help sorry it being so long i tried to make it detailed.

There are stickies that will give you calculations for your BMR. Find that out and then cut off some calories, along with a clean diet and you should be fine. Just curious, but why do you want to weigh 130?

And as a far as weight training goes, if you want to lose that much weight then you are going to want to do high reps with low weight and lots and lots of cardio. Mornings on an empty stomach is the best time to do cardio.

o i want to weigh that becasue i play sports that require speed such as track and soccer still and i want to be overall healthy with a clean diet latly iv been eating just peanut butter mealted down out of a microwave.

What should my diet be like is it ok to just eat plain lettace and protein bars and yoplait yogurt?

the high rep training for cutting has been disproven many times, yes it burns more immediate calories but heavy lower rep ranges(still in the hypertrophic range) raise metabolism via stimulation of the CNS for up to 24 hours after weight training
O really thank you so should i do heavey and light weights all in one workout. What if i do heavy weights in high reps

Right. I only said high reps because if he lifts heavy he's might put on more muscle weight than he would like to. I wasn't really going off on some study about high reps during cutting :)

What are you, a vegetarian? If you are, then you need to learn to eat more healthfully. Peanut butter is mostly fat. Yogurt and protein bars are mostly sugar.

Lean meats, fresh fruits and veggies, unprocessed, raw nuts and seeds and whole grains are the way to feed your body clean. Whole foods, minimally processed.

And I honestly think 130 pounds for virtually ANYONE 6' tall is ridiculously thin. You won't have ANY muscle, which you need to run and jump and for endurance. Get a realistic perspective on your body mass. Lean tissue, blood, and bone have mass (for example, your skeleton weighs about 14% of your entire body weight). Being healthy and strong is going to give you speed and stamina. Being emaciated is just going to make you exhausted.

No i eat chicken sometimes. But eaither way your right i have to change my diet around to fit my needs for my goal. Also 130lbs for my height might be a little to light i just thought the lighter i am the quiker ill run. What do you think would be a relistic weight for me allowing me still to have muscle and speed.

cut all carbs from dinner on. eat moderate to low carbs for other meals. do your cardio first thing on an empty stomach.
