im trying to go on a diet but i dont know what to eat or what not to eat i dont care if i eat the same meal every day for the next year just something healthy. I know they have threads with alot of food ideas but what i want is something simple that will give me the energy i need for example

meal 1 at 6am eat this this and this

meal 2 at 12pm eat this this and this

meal 3 at 7pm eat this this and this

and i will do that everyday my workout each day is the same

i try to run and or walk 2 miles a day lift some weights and do push ups and sit ups

im 19 yr old 240 pounds 5'9 and looking to join the army next year so i need to slim down and get cut. i have been weight lifting sence the age of 11 but on and off

so any help would be great
also i was looking at Mr.x's ANPB diet not sure if that would work for me

First of all there is tons of info at the top of this forum in the Stickys sample diets, gym routines etc.

You will probably find people will reccomend eating 6 meals a day and keep away from high carb foods ie. bread, white pasta, rice and eat higher protein foods ie, chicken, egg whites, protein shakes, oats etc etc. I would organise some form of gym routine for each time you go rather than just go and do abit of everything. After heeding advice on here i decided to do my cardio days seperate from my weight days (sometimes i do light cardio 20 mins on weight days) and feel better in doing this. I also changed to HIT cardio rather than running for an hour or so and this also seems to have helped me burn fat.

What i would do is just read as much as you can from this forum as there is literally tons of advice from people who have been there and done it so to speak. People imo will not just give u a workout and diet regime and send you on your way, you have to be willing to do abit of the ground work yourself.

no - don't do the ANPB diet. It's not for you at this time in your life.

go to

www.fitday.com. It's free and you'll need it to keep track of what you eat. My advice is to do 40/30/30, or 40% protein/30% carbs/30% fat. Every meal should be broken down this way.

Take your body weight x 12. This is how many calories you will need to lose fat.
