I do not tell people to seek medical attention lightly. You are obviously abusing your body, if you were a lean 225 before and are now 45 pounds less than that, and you're training for a physically gruelling test? Why are you dieting down? What the heck are you trying to accomplish???JKurz1 said:Fairly confident it's due to lack of cals, and ANXIETY....Hell, I used to weigh a lean 225, now, after training for a Tri, I'm 180.......
Ruining your health is what you're doing, if not killing yourself. You'll be lucky if you don't keel over in the middle of the triathalon from a heart attack (do you think I'm joking? How fast did you lose that 45???)
Lightheadness and coldness in your extremities and face could potentially indicate central nervous system problems, peripheral nervous system problems, autonomic dysfunction, or early pulmonary problems; compounded with hypotension and edema, IMO, these are very bad symptoms in a person in the prime of life who should be in peak physical condition, and I don't give a crap if you do sit at your desk all day! I'm 41 years old, certainly not in the physical condition you should be in, I sit at a desk for over 8 hours a day every day and have since I was 27, and I never have fluid collecting in my legs or ankles.
You're playing with fire.
I'm done ...
