Diagnosis?

I often have a burning pain in my stomach and lower back which could be attributed to overuse. However, my hands, feet and face are always freezing and sometimes numb. Plus, at the end of the day, my feet and ankles are very swollen (and I sit all day for the most part). Light headedness is common.

What could this be from? I am on 150mg of prop a week for HRT. Could it be due to overtraining? Severe weight loss? Thanks fellas.

1. Make SURE you see a doctor.

2. The cold hands/feet and numbness sound like it could be low blood pressure. Not sure about the swollen ankles. Again, make sure you see a doc.

p.s. I hope the 150mg for HRT is not prescribed by yourself.

I am not a doctor, from what I know about diabetes those symptoms are very common with it. Low blood pressure can also cause you to be cold on the farthest ends of your body. If you are diabetic or even slighly diabetic, messing with your test levels and your thyroid can not be a good thing.

Good Luck

I saw my doc, here's what he said "Boy, your blood pressure is low!! You are going to live a long life, that's fantastic."

That's what was said. Are there neg. effect to being on HRT with these symptoms? I would think it could only help out the situation.

I doubt at age 29, I can now have diabetes. My sugar intake has always been incredibly low, no junk, booze, etc........

You never answered the question of whether the HRT was medically supervised.

Face coldness and numbness and ankle edema and postural light-headedness, in a 29 year old person with no concomitant medical conditions has warning bells going off in my head.

If your current physician is not willing to take these symptoms seriously please contact a neurologist yourself.

All symptoms to be taken seriously at any age especially 29. Any doctor that says "Boy your blood pressure is low. You are going to live a long life, that's fantastic!" with those symptoms is suspect to me....Now listen to your musclemom and get checked out by someone other than your doctor. :)

Fairly confident it's due to lack of cals, and ANXIETY....Hell, I used to weigh a lean 225, now, after training for a Tri, I'm 180.......

How about you make sure and go see a doc?

Like musclemom said...you didn't answer the question about your 'HRT' being medically supervised. Too many people on EF think they're health experts because they know how to gain muscle and lower bodyfat.
