deca for my first cycle? trying to get to 200lbs

Thats left field wulfgar, i like it! ha ha deca only is considered a no-no around here usually.
whats your thoughts on the benifits of deca only ?
im gonna use some on my second cycle but ill be running it with test

The benefits are

1: greater nitrogen retention
2: greater protein synthesis
3: minimal HPTA shutdown
4: Synovial fluid production for the joints
5: minimal amount for maximal results
a. basically the body is only going to be capable of handling so much AAS for a particular user. this has MUCH to do with the level of muscularity of the user, the amount off AAS use he has done in his past, receptor sensitivity, level of the athlete, etc.. For the novice user his body simply cannot absorb and utilize very much AAS. But the small amount he does put in will have PROFOUND effects on his system from a anabolic and hypertrophic perspective. The downside of doing stronger androgens with a new user are the sides(fact is he wont know how he will respond at all to AAS), receptor sesitivy downgrade( meaning in future cycles he will need to take MORE to see more results. and why waste a growth threshold?) amongst many many other reasons


fact is. I have seen tons of guys do a deca only cycle for their first cycle. pack on 20-30 lbs of muscle mas in 8 weeks with very little HPTA inhibition.
win win situation right?

Great post bro! good info. im looking froward to using deca on my second run. i cant complain about my firt run but man , sustanon only for 8 weeks and im up about 28lbs heading into pct
 
well, i'm not gonna start a cycle anytime soon. i'm just want to know the specifics of the right way to do a test E cycle.. so far, from reading i figure 250mg injections twice per week 3.5 days a part. 10 weeks, when would i start a pct? how long? whats a good pct? what exactly should i take for liver support? thats my questions.. cuz so far this is the type of cycle i'm leaning toward if i even do it. if i'm 185 now, i figure i should shoot for 200lbs naturally and try to increase my lifts a little more on my own. i'm gonna stack some white blood and green mag the next 6 to 8 weeks to see if some good old creatine will help, it usually does a little bit. this is the first time i've cut out cardio in a bulk, and i think it may help more with the gains and make 200lbs more easy to get to this winter.. i used callipers to test my body fat and i'm somwhere around 13.5 according to that. whats an exceptable amount of body fat to gain during a bulk? i've never been much more than this, when i started back lifting 3 or so years ago i was 145 and around 10%. i usually pick up on the cardio type activities when the weather gets warmer (mountain biking), and didn't have any problems the past summer getting to 170 lbs around 10% body fat, from 185 about 13% bf. i'd like to see 180 ish 10 - 12% body fat when i cut.. might as well post what my diet looks like.

5:30a.m. steel cut oats, 1 scoop champion fast mass and 1 banana (sometimes i add a little lowfat cheddar cheese into my oats to make them easier to eat)

(training is between this time on saturdays and sundays)

8:00a.m. vpx zero impact protein bar

11 a.m. varies, but yesterday 1 scoop whey, turkey on whole wheat and some fruit.

3p.m steel cut oats 1 scoop champion fast mass

(training between this time on tuesday and wed.)

5p.m. NY strip steak ( yesterday) , sweet potato, 1 scoop whey.

7p.m. natural peanut butter on whole wheat and some fruit

9pm. can of tuna and 1 scoop whey

9:30 sleep

when i get off work on time that is what it looks like... i can eat like this 5 times out of 7 days.. the rest of the time i'm not getting that 3pm meal till 7pm so i end up cramming 2 meals in one and i know thats not good.. so i gotta find something to eat at 3pm when i'm busy that i can have in my pocket.. like i sneak the vpx bar at 8a.m.... how bad are steaks for me? i want to keep some red meat in my diet, i have been eating 1 or 2 ny strips a week latley.


bro, you should research a bit more.. and keep asking questions
 
Good post and sounds like you are very open minded and concerned about the use of AS. Great job so far!
As for some thing I will recommend:
1- I am sorry to say that your bf is pretty high from that picture. I would say more like 18- 20. It doesn't look like you are flexing and I can't see any abs. I could cut that down before a cycle.
Wulfgar has a great thread about deca, but I would be afraid of my junk not working! Do a test cycle at 250- 500 mgs. 250 e5d ( every 5 days) that's about 350mgs/ week.
pct- there is a lot on this on these board. I think there is a 'sticky' on this at the top. Look for PP's and Nelsons products.
Also hcg throughout the cycle will help with recovery.
Like Needto says, there are soo many ways to do pct. I say just be prepared and have everything on hand before the cycle starts.
Diet looks pretty good but it can always be tweeked.
make sure to get good fats and efa's. fat ---> testosterone.

That's what I've got for you. You seem to get this and will take what we have said and apply it unlike other people on here.
There is still a lot for yiu to learn so read read read!

man, i appreciate all the replies.. i definetly have something to go on now.. but its gonna be a while before i consider a cycle. i'm confused with my BF% at this point, that picture i took last time does look 18-20 range.. bad lighting, and right after a big meal. today, i did a 4 point caliper test.. (did a search online and found some good instruction) i come up with 18 so thats fair enough... but see, i attatched the picture i took yesterday morning. is that what 18 percent bf looks like? i' not trying to argue with anybody, just trying to get some comfirmation. i'm gonna start trying to keep record of my BF% thru this bulk so i don't accidently become a fatass by summer. calipers seem like a decent way to go, unsure on how to use them properly but looking into it. i hate to cut now, because i've made such good strength gains so far.. my weight has gone up from 170 to 187 in 2 mos. added approx 40lbs to my core lifts in that time.. most of it is muscle memory tho as i did take 6 mos off becuase of a sore shoulder joint. i'm getting back to the shape i was before that injury so that is why i was now considering an AS cycle.

i''m 33 years old, have been lifting since i was 15, with like 8 years off and back at it for the past 4 years. considering deca for my first cycle.. and yeah. i pretty much don't know shit right now, well i have been reading alot on here, but i need more info so i can know what to look into next... i found a reliable source that can get me pretty much anything , he's been using deca and having some good results.. was gonna do a deca only cycle, but after a little bit of reading doesn't sound like something i want to do stand alone. deca sounds like something i'd like to use tho, because i hear the sides aren't that bad and it could possibly help with joint problems (i got a shoulder that bothers me now and then). pretty much would like to know what i should be looking into for my first cycle if i go with deca? i had planned on using clomid as a pct. mainly concerned with hairloss. as far as my stats go, i'm 185lbs currently bulking, i gained 15lbs the past 2 mos. but problem is i get around 190 and it all slows down for me, i can get my bench around 320 when i'm bulking (but never got much higher than that), (i'm at 305 on bench now) deadlift 425, can't squat much more than 315lbs. would like to get closer to over 350 with 400 possibly in my sight someday on bench, as well as improving my squat.. and the 15.5 inch arms need to be 17.. as far as diet is concerned, i'm eating 6 to 7 meals a day depending on the work day.. 3500 to 4000 calories a day. i cut out all cardio because i seem to have a hard time with gains if i even have a litlte bit in my workout routine. i cut weight really fast. there is a recent photo on my profile. thanks in advance for any advice or info..
sounds like ur on track and i wouldnt worry about dropping body fat now...your goal is to add mass so add it...after this cycle do a cutter int he spring or summer...but as of now do this and add as much weight as you can

1-12 test 500
1-10 deca 400
keep onhand adex .25 eod start incase bloating or gyno flares up
hcg make sure get
nolva for pct
cabergoline have on hand incase deca problems...
thats a good solid cycle and you seem to have everything down so far with better stats then most on here... test only is good but with your should issues the deca will hopefully help with it...good luck
