Deadlifts and DC

So i've been doing the DC routine for almost 3 months now and so far i've been happy with the results. My legs have been benefitting the most though, with the increased training frequency, especially with the one heavy set, followed by a 20 rep set.

My question is, with the larger muscle recruitment involved with deadlifts (as with leg presses, squats etc), would i benefit from a heavy set then a higher rep set afterwards.
 
Yes, that is how I do it, I do a heavy set (I try for failure at a lower rep set than what he recommends, I usually try for failure at 6-8 reps on deadlifts, normal for everything else) after failure I immediately go to a 20 rep set at lower weight at which point I usually want to fall over dead :)
