i train in the morning, the day after carb-up and wondering if its necessary to add fat to my preworkout meal? i usually have whey+flax..should I drop the oil?
Adding flax negates Whey's advantage of hitting the system quickly - so I would recommend no.....do not add to WHEY at anytime really...except possibly bed to extend the absorption time.
you have been fasting all night long...the body is dying for some protein and carbs - so you use whey - which has the advantage of getting into the system very quickly......adding flax will greatly hinder that process.
Im not anti-flax at all.....I think it should be taken in moderation throughout the day except for meal in the morning and immediately after training.
Perhaps you should get him to tell you why it IS important.
