Depends how old you are - at my age (38) it's going to be inevitable if she has kids - the question becomes "how many" !!!
Anyway - it is tough and preferrably would be best to date chicks with no kids but I've been on dates with women with no kids that were so boring and I couldnt get into them, whereas women with kids I had a lot of click with. Good luck.

If Just-for-Fun then be the crazy uncle. Visit and play a little but never get too close or too involved with the kid.
If Happily-Ever-After then be ready to be anything from a grandparent (if the biological father is still active) all the way to a full-blown parent. If the biological dad is decent and still in the picture, you get to be the grandparent! Don't ever come-down on them. That's mom and dad's job. And when you do things with them, just have fun. Now if dad has been missing for three years, you're gonna be a real father. And if that's the case, make sure you're ready for the responsibility because you're marrying both that woman and her kid.
Having said all that, being a real father is amazing. I wouldn't trade it for the world and I wouldn't let a kid stop me from the right woman at any cost.

I have to agree to the part of ANY chick... not that I disagree about the drama/baggage... but hey men have the same.
Behind every woman with kids is man who helped her get there.
I'd say if you can't handle the fact that you are NOT the center of attention 24/7 stay away, and if she makes you that center of attention even with a kid or 3... stay away.
I have two kids and its really hard to find anyone who's willing to give me the time of day. I don't need a baby daddy, they have a good father... I don't need any kind of support. However when they start calling and I just don't answer for a few weeks it freaks them out. Sorry... I'm a mother, I have things to do... So I think I'll just stay single. LOL

My wife has two kids from a previous marriage. Though they were family, I just treat them like friends. It's not my place to play daddy. If I wanted kids of my own, I would have had them. Now the grand kids is different, as I was there from their birth on. Nobody can tell me different, and I enjoy being their grandfather. And I know they like me, I am the only one who will actually play with them for a large amount of time.
You know what is cool for me is skipping the kids, and having grand ones come in the picture.
So my answer is, it just depends on you as an individual. Look inside yourself.

Dude who dosen't have kids??? It's just how it is. I got one kid of my own. Today it's not odd at all. The feelings you have about women with kids can change. You can start having feelings for that women and try to love her kids as well because you care for her. You can't love the women and not love her kids. Goes hand in hand.
