The photographer my mom hired for my wedding pics...... aghhhhh!!!!!!!
For 6800.00 we got him for 7 hours and a leather bound album with 82 pics.
He took over 550 pics. I get to pic 82 pics for the book and anything additional I must buy.
I don't mind paying for the extra pics- I understand this is the man's job.... BUT he is hella expensive. For example: 4 wallet size for 41.00.
It wouldn't be such a big deal but he took over 550 pics and whatever I don't buy by Feb. they will be taken off the web site and I will never, ever see them again. I can't buy more a few months from now. Aghhh! He keeps the negatives and everything!
I though I could be super-stellar-smart and just save or copy some of the pics from the website. Nope. :rolleyes:
If I try to right click on the pic, it says some bullshit about " for viewing only" and if I try to highlight and save/copy the whole screen.... it turns the pic into a big blue box. Aghhhhh! Even if I spend over 10000.00 bucks on pics.... I will still lose over half of them after Feb. Forever. I'm gonna go cry.
 
Use the female charm.
 
Wow. Usually the photographers give you a year to buy additional pics. Ask him to save them so that you can buy them later. Otherwise, I'm sure some techie could figure out how to get around his little security measure on his website. ;-)
 
Use a screen capture tool such as Snagit to capture the pics and save.


lol @ weddings. Just think all you could do productively with all that wasted money.
 
it's a crude solution, but yeah, you could screen capture the pics and save them in MS Paint or other graphic software.

1. load the pic on the screen as big as you can
2. press the "print screen" button on your keyboard
3. open up MS paint
4. press "paste"
 
just use the print screen - that saves the whole screen to the clipboard -

then paste (cntrl-v) into a photo software like paintshoppro photoshop ms paint etc

if print screen doesnt work, try snagit like aap said - or download a free copy of "bulent's screen recorder" (dont remember where i got it - google is your friend)

are they that small on the website? when i got married we bought the proof book and then made our own album. all i gotta say is get to know the people at wlagreens or such that have the photo copy printer kodak machine you pay per sheet. we saved a ton because i knew the girl who worked there and let me copy whatever i wanted.

Have you tried saving each picture to your favorites? Hit favorites on the top of your computer and when you click +add, there will be a box that says "Make available offline." Maybe if you do that, it can be saved on the hard drive and you can then save your pictures that way....
Just a thought, hope it works

she got all the pics. an ef member hooked her up and now she has all the pics downloaded to her computer.

you should email the guy and say that you would have been happy to pay reasonable rates for the pics, but based on his "rape" rates, you were forced to take a shortcut and get them for yourself.

They always have the full-size image somewhere. You just have to know how to find it. That would still only print a 5x7 at photo quality.

myway, give me the link to the site and I'll see what I can do. Internet security is a joke these days. Saving pics is easy. At worst, I could take snapshots of the screen and get pics that way.

that guy is an ass for taking 550 pics and pricing them high. he probably took all those pics just hoping that you'd buy more.

I thought that 6800 was exorbitant, too. My wedding photograper only charged something like 1500, I think, and I got a bigger album. The pictures were gorgeous. I have no idea where they are now. I'm divorced...,lol. ;-)

See, that's the funny thing. What's DUTCH even look like? Really? I'm not even sure....... but it was from my dad's side. He was dutch and mexican(funny combo). My mother was irish. I look nothing like her. I wish. She had the MOST beautiful blue eyes. O-well. I don't really mind being a brown-eyed girl.
