Valium and Xanax are both Benzos. drug half-life being the basic difference.
There is also the concept of first-pass meatabolism, etc. Valium is multi-pass.

I am not a chemist. I could be wrong about the classification but I know from experience that mixing Valium and Coke will kill your dumb ass.....I don't need to ask anyone if it is true. I had a roomate that did alot of coke one night and took two VALIUM to go to sleep and never woke up. I wasn't hanging around crack heads. The drug addicts I knew actually had jobs and careers...some were doctors....and they all told me the same thing....don't mix valium with coke.....take a xaxax instead. I've never seen anyone die from mixing xanax and coke.....doesn't mean it couldn't kill you and is totally safe but I do know for sure that valium with coke will kill you. I saw it kill a person and he was in good shape...so, take it or leave it...I'm not argueing the petty details with you about the classification.

Look, I'm not saying to take Valium with coke. I'd stay far away from both or use very carefully and sparingly if absolutely necessary (talking about the benzos, for example if you suffer from panic attacks).

That said if I was sure Valium with coke WILL kill you I sure as hell wouldn't advice someone to use Xanax instead. The same contraindications would apply (if your brain signals getting confused theory was true). They are both benzos and work similarly, attaching to the same receptors etc.

BTW what exactly was the cause of death? Could not the coke have been the causative substance?

It smells good if you like it. I like the smell of coke to. But NEVER would pay for it. I never understood people that would take tons of vicos and it would wake them up. I take a vico/oxy/morph and you can call me out for bedtime.

Try smoking good pot(hydro) instead of the mexi brick shit-it's not a downer at all. It smells good too. I wouldn't smoke brick if you gave it to me for free. Not all weed is the same. Different strains produce different kinds of buzzes. Some are uplifting and energetic while others(like mexi brick) make you wanna be lazy and eat everything in sight. A few puffs of hydro and ECA and I'll train like a madman.

Back in the day when I was partying we'd do it all. We'd pop a couple of rolls to start the night off and party all night long on tabs and red bull at the club and then around 6 am head to an after hours party at some one's house or apt....Usually there would be clicks of people there....there would be a room full of tweekers upstairs smoking ice and there would be a room full of people smoking hydro and there would be people rolling and drinking "g". There may also be a few people veged out on the couch on "k"....you may smoke a bowl or ice with someone and then take a cap of "G" .......and then someone would break out the hydro and we'd smoke some bowls of that.....just whatever to keep the party going....Actually a good bowl of Hydro after a few pulls on the bong of ice (meth) is a pretty good feeling. All the tweekers I knew would have glass bongs and they would fill the bongs up with ice and listerine mixed with water and the smoking bowl would be some custom fit glass bowl they'd fill with crystal meth....when you pull on it is is cool and fresh because of the ice and listerine....it was some crazy shit bro. Been clean now for over three years....just like someone else already said: It just isn't the same (thank God) after you quit and try to go back and party. ThaT'S WHEN YOU KNOW YOU'RE REALLY DONE WITH IT. When you go party and it just sucks and you only feel anxiety and feel like you have wasted the entire weekend and lactually look forward to getting your work week started and forgetting about the wasted week-end you just had.
...but if i do ever slip up and accidentally snort an 8 ball of coke on Saturday night I ALWAYS make sure i have a Xanie for Sunday or I juat won't do it...
