Daisy!! Do you train for body building comps?

None of the above. :)

I was starting to train for Figure, but have decided that was not good for my mental health. I already hover on the edge of disordered eating (NOT eating disorder, but disordered eating patterns) and body image. Putting myself in a position where I was being judged SOLELY on my body was not good for me psychologically.

Being in mags can have that imapct too, but not to the extent of a comp. My income is NOT dependent on my body, I am not being judged, I am not being discounted because of my genetic "problem areas", lol.

I AM involved in the fitness world, and have been for years and years. But I know quite a bit about contests, dieting, workouts, the "lifestyle", specific competitors, etc. :) Never been there myself though.

:)

Thanks for the input!! That all makes alot of sense. I need more info on body building for woman. I have alot of info but some things I'm not sure about. Where should I post my stats to get some info on my calorie intake, protein, fat, carbs? I do know I need no more that 35 to 40 grams of fat a day along with 65g carbs and my bodyweight for protein but what about calories? Sometimes they seem too low to gain muscle even though everything else is on track. What about my off days should I still take in the same amount of everything except carbs?

I would start an entire new thread looking for input. List EVERYTHING you are eating and doing now. As much detail as possible. :) And list your questions. The more info you give, the better the answers. I bet you get TONS of good info. :)
