cutting......how many calories?

Ok, so, i'm guessing i weigh about 135? Very afraid to step on tha scale, (eating disorder issues)....but im pretty sure thats about where im at?...So, if thats my weight and i multiply that by 10, 1,350 would be my total?.... is that correct?... i would like to lose 15-20 pounds. My bf% is 25.9, and i'm 5'4" ...help?

If you are worried about weighing yourself, then don't. I hate numbers - they bring out my OCD. So I tend to avoid them too. I go my look and my clothes.

You can start with 1350 calories and see what happens. Stay there for 4 weeks or so and see what the results are.

Now that I think about it, 135 and 5'4" is pretty normal. Why are you looking to lose 20 more pounds? That is awful light for 5'4".

I am 5'4" and I couldn't reach 115 unless I chopped off both legs. :worried:

Daisy girl =) LOL! Ok, so i mentioned i have a SMALL fear of being fat! =) If i knew how to i woul post my "starting" pic. My muscles are seriously so hard, but since (last year) i went back and forth b/w binging and bulimia so my bf% is not what i wish it was. I definetly have a more "J.Lo body". I got da booty and legs. No one else thinks its bad but me. Before i left for Australia in Oct. 2003, i haden't had a cheat day in a year, and had KEPT my calories at 1,400....and BUSTED it at tha gym. I was 114, and felt "good in my skin". The missions school i was on over there was supposed to be 6 months long, but after dropping to 100 pounds after the first 3 months, they sent me home. I was anorexic. But not that i didn't eat (God knows i love food! :chomp: ) but i ran all the time. Also, i had no gym, so alot of the weight i lost was muscle. I was a size 2 when i got home! ( i dont think even at 10 yrs. old i was a 2 HA~!) Anyhow, ALL MY CLOTHES that i wore during the year i weighed 114, will NOT fit anymore! =( Its so depressing! Alot of it is new muscle, but some is not! I just want to feel sexy again!

Those size 2 clothes you wore wehn you were 114lbs and no muscle may NEVER fit again. Just get used to that idea. And there is NOTHING wrong with that. It does NOT mean you are fat, unhealthy, unsexy or anything. It just means you are built differently than before. Plain and simple.

With added muscle you may NEVER get back down to 114lbs. And I think that puts you in a MUCH better place anyway.

My "comfy" spot used to be around 130lbs. Now that I have gained muscle, my "comfy" spot is about 140lbs. Took some getting used to, but I am fine with it now.

Weight does NOT matter if you are at a healthy BF. Weight is simply the pull of gravity on your body. It is meaningless alone.

So what do you want to do now? What is the goal?

And further more, what are the steps you are implementing to get there?

What Daisy said...... 135 lbs at 18% body fat is a helluva lot healthier than 135 lbs at 29% body fat..... Weight in pounds is irrelevant..... You can be 135lbs & be a size 4 or a size 12... I don't even weigh myself anymore -- it makes me feel bad about myself.... But I think I weigh 145lbs (maybe) but wear a size 8-10, which is very comfortable for me....

When looking to lose, focus on losing body fat & not just "weight."
