cutting diet essentials??

I was wondering what the key foods to a great cutting diet are? I hear alot about flax seed, green tea, and obviously high protein. What about grapefruit? Any help is appreciated. THANKS
 
oatmeal, sweet potatoes, brown rice, greens
chicken, lean steak/ beef, fish
flax, efa, fish oil. natty ppb
grapefruit will be good in the morning and after working out.

nice pull! Sometimes I even forget to eat normally when cutting. Like Ulter said, it's a matter of the cals and how the macro's (protein/carbs/fat) break down. Use www.fitday.com to help you keep track. It's an excellent tool.

Really depends on your goals and where you are now, tell me more about your stats etc...

What's your diet like now?

lots of protein, chicken, beef, turkey, whey shakes, low to moderate carbs,,clean carbs, use good fats like EFA's

Bump for fitday...it has keep me in check and it is an awesome tool to use to help you keep track of your diet.
 
right now im at 350g of protein a day with 200-220 carbs and 50-75g fat. when i start leaning out i drop carbs to 100-150 and cut fat a bit
