curl bar

on your standing bicep curls what bar do you think is better straight bench bar or a curl bar or does it really matter???
 
They both have there benefits. They work two different part of the Bi. (long head and short head) personally I do preacher curl with curl bar and standing with straight bar....you will just have to find whick one gives you better pumps.
 
I remember reading that the "ez-curl" bar is more of a forearm workout, b/c it takes the stress off the bicep. I personally just use the straight oly bar, but thats all I pretty much use anyways.

I don't think he asked which bar gives you better pumps....
 
when using a curl bar it moves your hand position more towards the position of a hammer curl. and a hammer curl is moving more towards the position of a reverse curl. therefore it works more of the outer biceps. this is my theory and i hope it makes sense.

it is neither a good theory, nor does it make sense. Good try.
 
I use both. I load up the regular bar (in the squat rack, of course) and walk up to it like I'm gonna curl it. Then, right as I'm reaching for the bar, I run over to the EZ-bar and start blasting my bis with it instead. My theory is that this keeps the muscles guessing.
