im planning on competing for the first time in march.im 22,will be 23 then, 6'0,205,14%bf,been lifting for 7 years, im dieting right now to get my bf in the single digets, before i start my cycle. which will begin in nov. wat gear should i run to come in the best shape possible, i did my first cycle 3 months back i ran sust at 500mg for 9 weeks and put on 15lbs.then some pct.

Bulk now you have plenty of time to work on size start cutting up again in january then just really be serious and commited to diet and cardio 1 -2 months out from the show. I have a competiton in aug i only had 5 weeks of contest prep you have plenty of time. Do lots of research also work on your posing. If you havn't allready go be a spectator at competion to see what it al about.

I do agree......At 6' your long and tall for Bodybuilder whom is 205. Starting at
205 at 14% to be on stage you will end up on the bottom side of the light heavey Weight class. The light heavey weight class is one tough bunch. You will need to be someware in the low to mid 180's you will be lined up next to a guy 5'-8" on the top side of the class someware around 196# or so...get the picture. (I just did some rough math so vets don't flame me, I'm just painting a picture)

You'll need to put on some quality size and do not let the bf go any higher. This is a real trick You really have to dial in the diet, Get enough cal's to add muscle size but not too much whare you also add BF. You have the time you need to get to it.

I'm doing a show the end of OCtober 2007, I'm 5'-6" 196# at 12% (was calipered Wed) I compete as a middle weight hoping to come in someware around 173# (DRY) which means for me I'll be around 180+\- b-4 water manulipation. I'm in phase 1 of my diet which I'm doing cardio 3 times a week only and doing a zig zag diet plan. as of July 31 phase 2 begins (which is 12-1/2 week out) The reason I chose July 31 is It's the day I get back form Las Vegas :p :p :p So diet now, cut loose (a little)in Las Vegas then Kick it untill contest !
I'll be very motivated do to the fact a very good friend of my is competing in the usa nationals in Las Vegas. so seeing all those National competers make me want to work harder ! I also think you should go to some shows, see how the run, talk to people, Do you home work !

This post is not meant to discourage you. I just to put things out there so you can form a battle plan ! Good Luck !
