It is not very difficult to find information with regard to the philosophical concepts behind certain martial arts. However, I have not been able to find any information with regard to the strategic and technical aspects of varying martial arts, with the exception of 'Tao of Jeet Kune Do' by Bruce Lee, which is an excellent book by the way. The kind of information contained in that book is the very kind I would consider to be essential when studying MA. For example (a very simple example), Japanese Karate takes a linear approach with most if not all of it's techniques. However, Chinese Gung Fu utilizes more circular motion with it's movements. It is these things that are the basic underlying concepts of the MA which I believe are very important to know.
So, the problem is, I can't seem to find this information anywhere (online at least). Anybody here know of any good web sites or books that might contain such information.
