I have not read the book, just synopsises and overviews, and though I think Charlie is extremely knowledgeable I would not trust him blindly about such a sensitive topic as the steroid an athlete of his took.

The thing is, BJ like all of his athletes and athletes of that time would stop the steroids long enough so that the system would be clear of the stuff before competition. BJ also never took winstrol in training. So the only way he would have had a positive is that the samples were tampered with or a mistake was made somewhere
